Cash has been a busy boy this May, and June isn't looking any slower.
As he was a pasture bred stud, prior to me getting him, we have been challenging him to listen to his handler on the line when breeding the mares. Breeding in hand is much safer for the mare and stud (and foals-I can't tell you how many foals I've seen savaged or ending up with a serious injury when in a pasture breeding scenario). But, he IS getting it. He is learning to listen and he is learning to tease. This is important, especially as I want to freeze semen for shipping in 2025+
At the end of June, he will be heading out for 60 days under saddle. Can't wait to see how that goes :)

Happy Easter!

I finally have Cash's first ads finished (because what else is there to do on Christmas Eve while sipping egg nog?)
Shipping to the US is uncomplicated and it's a great opportunity to access these old Sheldak bloodlines at a great US exchange rate.
Contracts will be finished up this coming week and ready to start being send out.

We were working on Cash's fence this morning, getting ready to put the weanlings next to him. He tried to say hi to Detour, but my dogs know not to trust these big hairy beasts 🥰 I think he's looking forward to 2024, especially after he finally saw some of his girlfriends this morning

Cash thought I needed help cleaning his shed this afternoon 🤣
Plans are in place for him to collect and ship semen in 2024 for $750CDN between March 1-June 1
He will also be freezing some.
I am still finalizing his details but everything is coming together 😊

The weather in the last week has ranged from feeling like 34°C to feeling like 0C this weekend. From intense heat to a biting wind chill and rain. I'm sure Cash is wondering where he ended up with our wonky weather.
