(downstairs), 205 Perry Hill Rd Montgomery, AL
Class Starts: Tuesday Jan10, 2023
Why teach Dog Obedience
One of the first things most people think about when adding a dog to their family is getting him trained. After all, training will make your new friend well behaved, whether he's a family pet or destined for the competition ring. You have many choices when it comes to training, including private in-home training, private training at a facility, group classes, and even online courses. All these options can make it difficult to decide whether training you dog at home or in a class setting is best. During group lessons, you will learn new commands for your dogs and also help them socialize with other people and dogs.
Dog training classes are held at Goodwyn Community Center, Montgomery Alabama. Advance registration is required. You can only be admitted to classes through the official enrollment process. A student must be at least 12 years old and if the handler is under 16 years old they must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs must have proof of up-to-date vaccinations:
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo (within 3 years)
Rabies (within the last year unless documentation of 3-year
vaccination)
Bordetella (Nasal or Oral)
The fee for a nine-week Class is $85.00 (classes are held on Tuesday evenings) for first time non-members. First time non-member students will receive a MADOC Treat bag and paid fee for the CGC test. For non-members to repeat a class with the same dog the fee is $55.00. The class fee is $35.00 for members. Checks for obedience classes shall be made out to "MADOC" and Payment for classes is expected at Orientation night.
