A little THROWBACK! (I know, it's not Thursday...)

This is Gracie when she was around a month old. And this is why it's just so hard to tell what kind of curl a puppy will end up with as an adult. She had next to none until she was 4-5 months old.

Bear with me as this will be long...It is a bittersweet day at our house. Mama Gracie's puppy factory is now out of service. Not because there is anything wrong with her, but because our dogs are part of our family and NOT just money makers that we work until they can't work anymore and pitch to the curb. Just like us humans, our bodies can only take so much and we decided it was time to let her retire and enjoy the rest of what we hope will be many years. Our kids are also to the ages where they aren't around to help with litters due to sports and jobs so it was just time.

To those that have been patiently waiting for announcements of more litters, our apologies for not following through, but we hope you understand! If you're looking for a certain type of golden (regular retriever, standard goldendoodle, mini goldendoodle) we will still be more than happy to answer questions and try to point you in the direction of some of our connections that may have some pups available.

To those that have one of our puppies, we thank you and hope that they have brought you much happiness and joy! It humbles us to know (from feedback) that the puppies that came from Sadie and Gracie have been amazing additions to families not just in Illinois but in surrounding states as well! This is the end of this chapter in our book...we thank everyone for joining us in this adventure.

Miss Maggie went to the vet today and had her puppy factory shut down. Also found out she’s at 22.4 pounds…I’m not used to having such a small dog! 😍

Hopefully in the next month we will be able to announce our final litter is on its way…Gracie and Drake went to the vet earlier this week! If it took we should have puppies that look like Maggie around April 17th. 🤞🤞🤞

Drake is visiting Gracie and got to meet his daughter Maggie for the first time. And Sadie wants absolutely nothing to do with him…she’s a grumpy grandma! 🤪

Happy 10th birthday to Sadie, the one who started it all! Her litter was born through the night of Feb 4-5 so the breeders didn’t know what to tell us…we celebrate both days! She doesn’t like the side by side like Gracie and Maggie (which is why you never see pictures of her) so Hunter is following us in the car as a birthday treat. 🤪. What a beautiful February day!

The before pictures aren’t the best because I forgot to take them until already in the car but the girls got haircuts today! Maggie looks a lot more like her momma now. ❤️🥰. It’s amazing how much their looks change with the shorter cuts.

For the first time in months, the puppy is not the one that’s being ornery! We learned today that shock collars can go bad eventually…I just replaced the battery in Gracie’s collar 3 days ago but these two decided to go have some fun. Sadie doesn’t wear a collar as she won’t run unless Gracie can…Not sure what they got into but they’re a mess! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We are on vacation and Maggie is having her first sleepover at Grandma’s. No 4th of July pic but a cute hello from her. We hope you have a great 4th of July! Keep those pups safe from fireworks.

Maggie and Gracie love to play…so much energy! This is probably a good 10-15 minutes they’ve been going at it. I wish I’d videoed when it started as Maggie had the zoomies and was running and jumping like crazy.

Got this from the kids today…Just like her mom, right down to destroying stuffed toys!

Poppy (miss Green) is hanging out with her big half sister, Ivy, for the day/weekend. Ivy was from Gracie’s last litter. ❤️❤️❤️

Hoping you can hear them…they’re super wound this morning but I can’t walk outside to video because when I do they immediately come towards me and stop playing! One has a squeaker toy somewhere, there’s one in the back chewing on some toy keys, and the rest are chewing on each other. 😆
