🚨 TEMP FOSTER NEEDED: ROCKY’S STAYCATION PLANS ARE IN JEOPARDY! 🚨

Rocky is a charming, crate-trained, housetrained gentleman who’s looking for a cozy, pet-free crash pad while his regular foster is away. He’s an only-child kind of guy—he wants all the love, all the snuggles, and zero competition for snacks. Honestly? Relatable.

He’s low-maintenance, high-cuteness, and promises to be the best temporary roommate you’ve ever had. No wild parties, no fur sibling drama—just Rocky living his best life and helping you live yours (with bonus tail wags).

Can you help him out for a few days (April 12–16), or even better, keep his snuggle streak going through April 19? He’ll bring the charm, you just provide the couch.

Foster Homes Needed for the Lion King Pups! 🦁🐾

We’re looking for a few great foster homes to help Rafiki, Simba, and Pumbaa take their next big step—growing up separately! These sweet siblings have been together since birth and have been cared for by a wonderful foster since February 24th, but now that they’re getting older, it’s important to give them the chance to develop as individuals. Here's why:

✨ Confidence Building – Being apart from their siblings helps each pup learn to be independent, build confidence, and discover the world without leaning on a littermate for comfort.

🐕 Socialization – Separate foster homes give them more chances to bond with people, meet other dogs, and experience new routines and environments—essential for raising a well-adjusted adult dog.

🧠 Better Training – One-on-one time makes housetraining and learning basic commands much easier (and way less chaotic!).

👯‍♂️ Preventing Littermate Syndrome – Keeping siblings together too long can lead to behavior challenges like anxiety or dependence. Giving them some space now sets them up for long-term success.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is a perfect time to start! Fostering a pup will help them and give their current foster some breathing room! We'd love for 2 of the pups to move on to other fosters until they are adopted! We’ll provide everything you need—all you bring is love and a little time.

Let’s give Rafiki, Simba and Pumbaa the best chance at bright futures—apart, but on the right path.

Rafiki could be your future shadow and snuggle buddy! He is a 14 week old sweetheart who’s ready to find his forever family! 🐶

Rafiki’s unique coloring suggests he might be a Lab mix, Cattle Dog mix, or even have a bit of bully breed in him—whatever the blend, he’s likely to grow into a medium-sized, 40-pound bundle of love.🥰

This little guy is basically a human baby in puppy form. While his siblings are off exploring, Rafiki would rather curl up in your lap and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s the mellow one of the bunch—laid-back, loyal, and happiest when he’s by your side. He is doing amazing with housetraining! He's a big boy now

Say hello to Pumbaa! This sweet and s***ky 14-week-old pup is the perfect mix of adventurous and affectionate. Expected to grow to around 40 pounds, Pumbaa is as smart as he is lovable.

The leader of the pack, he was the first to conquer the stairs and figure out how to sneak out of the fence—his curiosity knows no bounds! He loves playing with other dogs and often snuggles up with the oldest pup in his foster home, showing his gentle and loving side. Pumbaa plays hard, naps even harder, and listens well, making him an easygoing puppy despite his adventurous spirit. He also has a special love for toys! He is doing wonderfully with housetraining too!

Equal parts cuddle bug and explorer, Pumbaa is ready to bring joy, fun, and lots of love to his future family. Could he be the perfect match for you? He will be neutered soon (at the rescue's expense) and ready to call your home his home!

🦁 Simba is Neutered and Ready for His Forever Home! 🏡💙

This 14-week-old Lab/maybe bully mix is a bundle of charm, s***k, and cuddles, currently weighing around 16 pounds and expected to grow to about 40 pounds or so when full grown.

Simba is the “middle child” of his litter, but don’t let that fool you—he’s full of personality and affection! He tends to gravitate toward men but warms up quickly to everyone he meets. He’s fearless and friendly with other dogs, and he plays with the perfect combo of enthusiasm and gentleness.

Simba is also nearly housetrained, doing great for his age, and shows an awesome mix of independence and snuggle-loving sweetness. He’d love a home with another dog to be his buddy, but most of all, he’s ready to bring joy to a loving family.

Now that he’s neutered and ready to go, this little lion cub is officially on the lookout for his forever pride. 🦁✨

Sweet Nico has a big surgery day coming up in just a few weeks! This handsome guy will be getting neutered and having surgery to correct his cherry eye — a procedure that will help him feel so much better and improve his quality of life.

🐾 Welcome Back, Clarence 🐾

Once a Red Barn dog, always a Red Barn dog...❤️ Sadly, Clarence’s adoption didn’t work out due to his owner’s health issues making it so that they were no longer able to walk him. Right now, he’s loving life in a foster home with a male and female dog, playing and building his confidence daily! (Check out the adorable pic of Clarence and Chase, our loving, adorable tripod who is also looking for his forever home!)

Clarence is a young Plott Hound mix whose heart is as soft as his gorgeous brindle coat 🐶💛. This three-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has even tested cat-friendly! 🐕

Clarence is a gentle, back-of-the-pack dog, so busy dog parks can be overwhelming for him. However, he’s totally fine in public places where dogs are on leash! 🦮 He would thrive in a home with another dog to help boost his confidence and with people who will walk him regularly 🚶‍♂️🐾.

Fun fact: Clarence has awesome frisbee skills! 🥏🐶 We think you'll be impressed!

🐾 Join us for Jade’s Jam! 🎶🐶

We hope you will join us, along with many other area rescues, THIS Saturday, April 5th, at the Benson Singing Grove for the 10th annual Jade’s Jam! 🎉 The event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and features live music, local vendors, food trucks, and adoptable pets from various rescue groups.

This celebration is dedicated to raising awareness for animal welfare and ending abuse. 🐕💙 Enjoy a variety of activities, including a red carpet runway to promote pet adoptions! 👑🐾

We’re looking for a temporary foster for Rocky during spring break week! His current foster needs coverage from Saturday, April 12 – Wednesday, April 16 (bonus if you can keep him thru through Saturday, April 19 though).
