Orla got herself ready for her vet visit today! 🤣
Some more good news though! 🤩
Her ALT (liver enzymes) results are massively improved again. She started off with a reading off 753 (should be 0-100) were 549 last week and now at 234 💪
Her Billirubin was 24 (should be 7 or less), dropped to 12 last week and is now 8! 🙌
She has gained more weight and is now a chunky 3.4kg 🐷 she had dropped to 2.7kg. The heaviest I’ve ever seen her is 3.2kg (we have robotic litter trays which weigh her). No wonder though, she’s eating a full meal every hour and about to bankrupt me 😳 😂
We’re just so pleased at the turn around in her and we caught it just in time. Thank God I asked them to do pre-anaesthetic bloods as I genuinely believe she’d have died during the procedure. We’ll deal with the dental stuff at a later date once she is back to full health 🏥
We did discover she has a very rare congenital defect called a bi-lobed gallbladder. Although this does make her more susceptible to problems, with a lifetime low fat diet now she should hopefully fully recover 🤞
She’s off the morphine now and to remain on the appetite stimulant for another two weeks, along with another two week course of antibiotics. Hopefully in a fortnight she’ll have normal blood results and be discharged 🙏🏻
