Big thank you's going out to Trans Canada Brewing Co for hosting an adoption day event for us on Sunday. We had a great time in a wonderful environment!
And big thank you to Manitoba Pet Expo for again inviting us to attend your huge annual event. As always, it was a great time!
Thank you to all who came by and supported our rescue efforts this weekend at one or both events. And, as always, a very special thank you to our amazing fosters and volunteers!

WREN (previously Maxie)
Gorgeous Wren is a 3 year old spayed female German Shepherd.
Wren was originally found abandoned in a rural community. Taken in by another rescue (thank you Lexi's Relief Rescue) and eventually transferred to MASR so we can work on finding this amazing girl the perfect forever family.
Wren has been assessed both by our own knowledgeable volunteers and by a respected professional, and we all agree that this is a terrific dog for an experienced owner. Very bright and driven, Wren is a happy, healthy (needs to lose some weight), confident and friendly dog. High prey drive so not a great fit for someone with small pets. Wren gets along well with other dogs and we will start getting her out to events soon.
Wren is currently in a temporary foster home and we are searching for a permanent foster family for her. If you are interested in fostering her (and perhaps even foster failing), please complete our online foster application located at:

Foster home needed for Beautiful Maxie! This gorgeous female sable German Shepherd is in immediate need of a foster home so we can bring her into our care. Outgoing, friendly, confident, Maxie is exuberant & drivey with lots of potential. Maxie shows high trainability & is eager to learn.
Maxie has been assessed by a couple of our experienced volunteers plus has had a professional assessment completed and all are in agreement – Maxie is a wonderful girl.
Maxie is coming to us from another rescue and she has lived in a home with multiple other dogs without any issues. She has already started on a weight loss plan. And, Maxie has been generously offered a spot in the next session of basic obedience classes by Tess's Dog Training!
Happy & healthy, current on vaccines and already spayed, all Maxie needs is a foster home willing to help her reach her full potential and find her happy-ever-after.

We have a terrific Player's Choice auction happening right now. The draw will take place on Sunday, July 6th, 4 pm at PET EXPO, St. Norbert Community Centre, 3450 Pembina Highway.
