We are going to continue to post her until she gets a wonderful foster or forever home! Zoe deserves to find her Happy-Ever-After!
Meet Zoe – A Gorgeous & Loyal German Shepherd Looking for Her Forever Home!
Zoe is a stunning 2-year-old female German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a personality that will keep you smiling. She’s a happy, goofy girl who thrives on pleasing her people and adores playing with her ball. Loyal and affectionate with her family, Zoe is also independent and confident, taking a “watch and wait” approach with new people.
She’s well-mannered in the home—house-trained, crate-trained, and knows her “place” (bed). She enjoys car rides, daily walks, and exploring her surroundings. Zoe is fantastic with older kids (though she hasn’t been tested with babies or toddlers). She’s adaptable in new environments and unfazed by crowds.
What Zoe Needs:
Zoe isn’t a dog-park social butterfly, but she’s content ignoring unfamiliar dogs and will bond with a canine companion in the right home. She’s protective of her space but responds well to direction. With strong leadership, clear boundaries, and a structured routine, Zoe thrives—she’s eager to learn and loves to make her people proud!
Like many German Shepherds, Zoe has a natural prey drive. While she can be trained to coexist with cats or small pets, she’s best suited for an experienced owner who understands high-drive dogs.
Zoe’s Journey:
Zoe was found as a stray and taken in by Manitoba All Shepherd Rescue. Initially, she lacked confidence and expressed fear through loud reactivity toward other dogs. To help her build trust, she entered a board & train program with Dan at DBCanineWorks. Under his guidance, Zoe quickly learned to relax, trust her handler, and navigate new situations calmly. She’s been everywhere—from parks and stores to the airport—learning to coexist with other dogs without issue.

Dan has put this video together of our beautiful Zoe calmly participating in many different activities. She is relaxing on the bed watching Dan work with a client's dog, she is enjoying a walk with Dan's Malinois Willow, playing ball (she loves the ball!) in the back yard, enjoying family time just "being a dog".
As the video shows, Zoe is a wonderful young girl deserving of her own wonderful family! Please share and help us find this beautiful sweetheart the perfect foster or forever home! <3
We are surprised (and saddened) that nobody has stepped up for our beautiful Zoe yet. This wonderful young female German Shepherd has so much to offer to some lucky individual or family. <3 Sweet, friendly, good with older kids (not tested with babies or toddlers), and beautifully behaved! Zoe could live quite nicely with another dog after a suitable "getting to know you" phase, as shown in this video of Zoe walkiing with Willow, a young female Malinois. We don't recommend she go to a home with cats or small pets as she has a high prey drive.
Zoe is available for adoption or available to be fostered. She is currently still at her board & train facility with Dan at DBCanineWorks and we need to move her soon! Dan has done a wonderful job helping Zoe to be the VERY BEST GIRL and we are so grateful for his expertise!

It has been quite a while since we shared any information about our beautiful Chief.
Chief has had quite a journey to arrive at where he is now. He came into our care as an older pup from a rural community. Chief enjoyed the company of other dogs but struggled with trusting human beings. As he matured, his insecurities with people increased and he began acting very threatening & aggressive to scare people away and keep himself "safe". Thankfully, we were able to see past the fierce performance that Chief displayed and see the scared, insecure puppy begging for help.
Realizing that Chief's behavior issues were more than an average foster family could safely handle, we engaged the services of a professional dog trainer, Dan Buenaventura of DBCanineWorks. Dan took Chief into his facility and started immediately to provide Chief with the stability, direction & leadership he so badly needed. Within a couple of short weeks, Chief was confident enough to enjoy the many outings that Dan took him on and he continued to build confidence through his positive socializing experiences with a leader at his side. From Dan's care to a knowledgeable experienced foster home, dedicated to continuing the structure, leadership and socialization, Chief continued to shine!
Today our beautiful boy is a happy, calm and confident young man, very well behaved, who enjoys all of the positive attention he attracts. <3
Thank you to all involved in helping our beautiful Chief overcome his past and find the happiness he deserves!
