North of the Moon's quick notes for July 1, 2021:

Overnight, the Moon moved into Aries and that's not sitting well with the Sun in Cancer. After, the lovely energies of the last few days we now need to navigate some very discordant vibes. Do not get discouraged by it all. Emotionally, it can be difficult, but take it in as a learning experience. Where can you make changes in your own expectations of yourself and others? Set a big goal for yourself and then let the rest go, if you can today. Once the Moon meets up favorably with Mars in Leo tonight (USA) the energies will synch up better for Friday and the weekend.

The key to flowing through today is to stop pushing yourself or others. Of course the important stuff needs to be taken care of, but the rest can wait. The words relax and Aries Moon don't exactly go together, but get into your core and rise above. One way to use these energies is to make a list of goals, projects, or adventures you'd like to have during the month of July. Be mindful of where you are in space today as head bumps and injuries are common under this lunar influence. Use Lavender to calm the pushy vibes and to ease any mental or nervous tension. Ask yourself what crystals you need to assist you today. That will help you connect with your core. Take care! ❤ NotM

☆ The month of July promises to be an interesting time for personal growth. Pay attention to the issues that are being talked about in your area. Mars stays in Leo until the last two or so days. It's time to shine your light and go for those dreams!

Our Nordic theme this week continues with my artwork "The Summoning". Here the witch summons a wyrm from the smoke of her cauldron. Her arms align with the magical pentagram behind her and the cauldron is covered with magical runes. The dark wood in the background is carved with Norse designs and frames the scene. A little interesting info on this subject is that in Old Norse, seiðr was a type of magic practiced in Norse society during the Late Scandinavian Iron Age. The practice of seiðr is believed to be a form of magic relating to both the telling and shaping of the future. A woman practicing seiðr would sometimes be called völva, meaning seeress. She would also sometimes be described as spá-kona or seið-kona, meaning prophecy-woman and magic-woman, respectively.

Today's featured art is called "Siblings" and is one I painted quite recently. I'm posting this today in line with this weekend's egg theme for Easter and Ostara. Here the lady is guardian of some very precious eggs, and holds one in her arms checking its progress, while its siblings looks on from around her shoulders. There are various dragon motifs in her costume - in the headdress, broches and her pendant. The pendants depicts Ouroboros, the mythical dragon/serpent circling round and eating its own tail, which is a symbol of rebirth and renewal. We are launching two new STOKED Artefacts made from my Ouroboros design next week. They will be the subject of my Video post at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday and then they will be launched in our Etsy shop.
