And It Begins Again
She stood in line. There were countless animals in front of her. There were dogs, cats, birds, cows, horses, chickens and more types of animals than she could imagine.
This time she chose to be a brown dog, a mutt some would say. She scratched her left ear with her back paw. Satisfying the itch she sat down and patiently waited.
“Psssttt!” She heard from behind her. She turned and came face-to-face with a goat with a gray beard and eyes the color of pumpkin pie. “How long do you think it’ll be?” Asked the goat.
“Don’t know. I’m anxious to get there.”
“Yea, me too. I can just smell the hay and the wood of the barn.”
“You scared?” Asked the dog.
“Naw, been there done that.”
“I’m worried. But trying not to be. I know that the angels will share their love with us but still…”
In front of the dog was another dog and then a cat just in front of the dog. The dog had ears that nearly touched the ground and short and impressively wide feet. He turned. “Just remember the mission is the same, friend. Teach humans how to live well by your actions.”
The girl dog looked at the dog sharing the advice and nodded. “Yea, you’re right. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes humans can be tough, hard…mean…”
“That’s why the angels share their love and protection with us before we go to Earth again. Remember, it’s our mission. To help humanity learn and grow. At all costs.” Dog nodded her head in agreement.
Behind her goat was humming a tune and swaying side-to-side. She wished she could be so carefree. But she knows everyone is different. She reminds herself that she’s embracing herself now. It’ll help everyone if she can just trust herself, love herself and trust the process unfolding.
Finally it’s her turn. She looks at the beautiful Angel beside her, her glowing purple clothes and her shimmering wings. She feels the angel’s unconditional love all around her.
They look into each other’s eyes and the Angel says, “little brown dog. Thank you for your service again to humanity. You are so brave, kind, loving and far wiser than you even know. May your visit to Earth help countless humans evolve to kinder, wiser beings through your pure actions of love.
She places her hands on the dog’s back and chest and sends powerful loving energy into the dog. The dog closes her eyes and allows the energy to fill her up.
When she opens her eyes she sees that she has been transported to a place that is loud with barking dogs. She sees around her cement walls. Straight ahead she sees bars keeping her inside a small space. She smells the dogs and pungent odors.
Suddenly she sees a woman standing on the other side of the bars, then a man stands beside her. The woman looks at her and says, “We’ve come to rescue you.” The dog looks at the humans and says to herself, “so begins my mission.”
