Nala's New Life Rescue A 501(c)3 nonprofit in Palm City, FL animal rescue. WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTERS AND MONETARY DONATIONS!

Nala was a life long companion and friend whose brave fight against bone cancer inspired me to re-name my rescue in honor of her. Nala's New Life Rescue has been saving dogs for years who have no other hope. We have a true "no kill policy" and save dogs who need rescued regardless of age, breed or health issues. We specialize in saving unwanted dogs (and cats) from kill shelters all over Florida w

ho otherwise would be euthanized or gassed, Nala's New Life Rescue pays to pull the dogs to safety, cover all medical and transportation expenses and provides a safe foster home or boarding facility until a foster or forever home is approved. All of our animals have a full veterinary examination, vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. We care for them until they are emotionally and or physically healed or a home becomes available. Nala’s New Life Rescue has saved and placed over 150 dogs in new homes in 2016. Nala's New Life Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

✨ Welcoming 2026 With Gratitude and Hope ✨

As we close the chapter on 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on a year filled with challenges, courage, and countless moments of grace.

Every dog and cat who came through our doors carried a history — some marked by neglect, others by heartbreak, many by circumstances far beyond their control. Yet what we witnessed, again and again, was resilience. The quiet bravery of animals who learned to trust again. The transformation that happens when compassion meets need.

This year stretched every rescue to its limits. Shelters overflowed. Families struggled. More animals than ever needed urgent help — medical care, safety, a soft place to land. And still, because of this community, we were able to say yes.

Yes to seniors who had been overlooked.
Yes to heartworm‑positive dogs who needed expensive treatment.
Yes to the forgotten ones, the frightened ones, the ones who had run out of time.
Yes to transports that carried hundreds of dogs and cats to no‑kill partners up north, opening the door to new beginnings.

We think of Ruby, who survived unimaginable injury and is now living the life she always deserved. We think of Daisy, who traveled from a tiny island to a family who adores her. And we think of the hundreds of others whose stories were rewritten because someone cared enough to act.

To our adopters: you turned hope into home.
To our fosters: you gave frightened animals the space to heal.
To our volunteers: you are the engine behind every success story — the hands, the hearts, the steady presence that keeps this rescue moving forward.
To our supporters: every donation, every share, every kind word made a difference.

You carried us through a year when the need felt endless.

As we step into 2026, we do so with deep gratitude and renewed determination. The challenges ahead are real, but so is our commitment. With your continued support, we will keep fighting for the animals who have no voice, no safety net, and no one else to turn to.

Here’s to a new year filled with healing, hope, and more lives saved — one animal at a time. 🐾💛

Happy New Year from all of us at Nala’s New Life Rescue.

Holiday Foster Spotlight: Asha & Layla! 🎄
Our two tiny holiday Chihuahuas have been living their very best lives with an amazing foster family in Port St. Lucie.

These little girls were perfect house guests. They were showered with love, spoiled with toys, dressed in the cutest Christmas outfits, and enjoyed every single second of their holiday foster adventure. Their foster parents, De and Richard, opened their home and hearts at the busiest time of year, and we are so grateful.

✨ Asha and Layla are now ready for their forever home — as a bonded pair.
They adore each other, they thrive together, and we would love to see them adopted into a family that will cherish them both.

If you’ve been thinking about adding double the love (and double the tiny festive joy!) to your home, please consider applying to adopt these two sweet girls together.
Layla, 8 years old, and Asha, 4 years old, are amazing little dogs. They are perfect in a home - housebroken, they do not chew on anything, and they can happily be left alone without any problems since they have each other. They are quiet, healthy and very lovable. They both weigh approximately 15 pounds and have short coats, making them low-maintenance pets. They are lap and velcro dogs, which so many people appreciate. They love people and attention and enjoy going for walks or running and playing in the yard. They also are very friendly and get along great with other dogs. Layla and Asha have so much love to give and are very special dogs. Apply on our website at www.nalasrescue.org

❄️ Transport Dog Update: Junior in the Snow! ❄️

We just received the sweetest photos of Junior, one of our recent transport dogs who made the long journey from Okeechobee to us in Palm City, to New Hampshire right after Thanksgiving. He was adopted on 12/05, and as you can see… he is living a good life in the snow!

Updates like this mean the world to us. Every transport dog starts out in a desperate situation, and being part of their journey — from uncertainty to safety, from a shelter kennel to a family who adores them — is one of the greatest joys of rescue.

To Junior’s new family: thank you for giving him the love, warmth, and snowy adventures he deserves.
To everyone who supports our transport program: this is what you make possible.

Here’s to many more happy endings and many more transport dogs finding their forever homes up North.

Nala's New Life Rescue is pleased to introduce Brady for adoption! This special boy is 3 1/2 years old, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Brady is extremely friendly with both people and other dogs. He loves to run and play and after spending time in a foster home, it was determined by all that Brady needs a fenced yard to be able to do what he likes to do best, run and play safely. He is well-behaved in a home, He weighs 42 pounds (he needs some groceries) and has a beautiful, short coat. Brady's soulful eyes will melt your heart, and we are happy to have this lovable boy in our rescue. Brady plays wonderfully with any dog we put him with, so he will be a perfect companion for a sweet dog looking for a friend.

🐾✨ Meet Bear – the tiny Pomeranian with a HUGE heart! ✨🐾

Bear is a 6‑year‑old, 6‑pound fluffball who has overcome so much and is now ready for his forever home. 💖

Rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control last year, Bear was heartworm positive. Because of his small size, he bravely went through the “slow” treatment instead of the usual injections—and now he’s officially heartworm‑free! Thanks to Nala’s New Life Rescue, Dr. Mary, and his loving foster family, Bear is thriving and waiting for his perfect match.

🌳 Loves walks & backyard time (fenced yard needed!) 🚗 Enjoys car rides once he knows it’s not the vet 🐕 Great with dogs, cats & respectful kids (prefers no male dogs) 🍽️ Easy at mealtime – he’s a self‑feeder 💕 Loyal & affectionate – bonds deeply with his person 🧼 Low‑maintenance grooming despite his fancy fluffy coat

Bear is independent yet affectionate, happiest when he can enjoy love and attention on his own terms.

💖 If you’re looking for a fluffy, loyal, easygoing companion who loves rides, walks, and gentle affection… Bear is your guy! 🐶💫

📩 Applications to adopt Bear are received through our website: www.nalasrescue.org

💔 In Loving Memory of Diva 💔

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that sweet Diva passed away early this morning.

Diva’s journey with us began just over a month ago, when Nala’s New Life Rescue saved her from a heartbreaking situation. For the first four years of her life, she knew only a crate and was bred over and over again, she was covered with fleas, anemic and so terribly skinny. Once she came into our care, she received weeks of veterinary treatment, when she was better, she was spayed, , and finally experienced the joy of running, playing, and learning how to simply be a dog. Watching her discover friendship and freedom was a gift to everyone who met her.

This past Thursday, Diva suddenly became very ill. She was hospitalized first at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Stuart who did a great job stabilizing her and then transferred Saturday night to MedVet in Jupiter, where a compassionate veterinarian and her team gave Diva the very best care. On Monday, she showed signs of improvement—her blood pressure was stabilizing, and Addison’s disease was ruled out. We began to hope for her recovery. But overnight, her condition worsened, and despite every effort, Diva passed away.

We are devastated by this loss. Diva deserved the happy, carefree life she had just begun to taste. While her time was far too short, she knew love, play, and kindness in her final weeks.

🙏 We want to sincerely thank everyone who has already donated toward Diva’s care. Your generosity allowed us to give her every possible chance and ensured she was surrounded by compassion until the very end.

We are still responsible for her extensive medical bills, and any donations made in Diva’s memory will go directly toward covering the costs of her care. Your support ensures that we can continue to fight for dogs like Diva, giving them the chance at the life they deserve.

Donations are gratefully accepted here on Facebook or through our website at www.nalasrescue.org. All contributions are tax deductible.

Thank you for keeping Diva in your hearts. Though she is gone, her spirit will remain a reminder of why we rescue, why we fight, and why every dog deserves love.

Please share. We need to find this boy before something bad happens
He is microchipped and has a collar with a tag and our number on it.

This is Diva and she needs your help and prayers. Nala's New Life Rescue rescued this sweet Frenchie from a bad situation over a month ago. She had spent the 4 years of her life in a crate, being bred. After weeks of veterinary care, she was spayed and was healthy enough to go to a foster home with 2 other Frenchies. She had no idea how to be a dog, and after observing her at our ranch she was so happy running and playing with other dogs. She craved that socialization. Yesterday, Diva became very sick and after spending the day at All Creatures Animal Hospital, was transferred to Jupiter MedVet last night, where she remains in critical condition. They are not sure what made her blood pressure go so low, she has pneumonia and possibly Addison's disease. Both are being treated aggressively, but Nalas needs help to keep trying to save this lovable little girl. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to pay for her veterinary bills. Thank you in advance .
All donations are tax deductible and are gratefully accepted here on Facebook, or on our website at www.nalasrescue.org. Thank you for your help, this sweet girl so deserves a happy life.

Adoption Process and fees

When you first contact us to adopt a dog, you will be asked to fill out and submit an application on our website at nalasrescue.org/adoption-application

The application will be reviewed by the members of our adoption committee to ensure that the family will be able to match the dog or cat’s needs, and that we can move forward to a safe and happy adoption. The first thing we do after receiving an application is to check vet references (if available) and personal references (if there is no vet reference).

If the references check out, you will be contacted for a meet and greet with the dog or cat you applied for. Please come with an open mind. You might meet more dogs and cats, and who knows where the perfect connection will be?

If the meet and greet goes well, we then conduct a home visit with all your household members, humans and pets, and if the home visit goes well, we’ll be ready to finalize the adoption.
