Congratulations to Caramel on her adoption. This pretty girl spent some time at Nala's ranch where everyone got to know and love her! Caramel was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's and found her forever home in NH after being one of the lucky dogs transported to Darbster. She has been in a foster home and her new owner brought her back to have her adoption photo taken which is why she is in a car. We wish Caramel and her new family years of happiness.

Meet Lucas, an amazing, gentle soul. This special boy found his way to Nala's New Life Rescue and now is hoping to find his forever home. He is 6 years old, housebroken and knows basic commands. Everyone who meets Lucas falls in love with him, he is a favorite at our ranch due to his unique personality. Lucas is good with other dogs and also good with cats. And he never met a person he did not like. Lucas is that one-of-a-kind dog who will steal your heart and make the best companion anyone could dream of. He weighs 55 pounds, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Simba is a handsome 5 month old male mixed breed puppy who is ready for a forever home. Simba came to Nala's with his brother Milo as 8-week-old puppies. Milo found his forever home with a great family, complete with another dog, and Simba is now hoping for the same. He is housebroken and great with other dogs. Simba is currently in a foster home, and he loves teenagers and the other foster dogs he lives with. Congratulations to Cookie on her adoption! This precious little girl was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's and transported last week to our partner Darbster in NH/ It did not take her long to find her forever home. Cookie loves people and we wish her and her new family years of happiness.

Nala's New Life Rescue would like to introduce 2 special dogs who are now ready for their forever home. Dawn is the tan dog on the left, Honey is her "sister" on the right. These 2 girls grew up in the same home and are forever bonded. They arrived at Okeechobee Animal Control shaken and scared. Nala's was told about these girls and chose them to go on transport to NH but then the news got worse for these 2 lovable girls as it was discovered both were heartworm positive. The only option was for Nala's to rescue them and treat them which we did a few months ago. They just completed their heartworm treatment and are ready for their second chance at life. Dawn is 4 years old and Honey is 7 years old. Both weigh 45 pounds and they totally enjoy each other's company. They eat together, sleep together in the kennel and hope to spend the rest of their lives together. They are both spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. They are also very good with other dogs and would not mind sharing their life with your furbabies. Dawn and Honey are ready for their new family and Nala's is happy to be a part of their journey to find that family.

🌼 DAISY IS STRUGGLING—SHE NEEDS A HOME NOW 🌼 We’re heartbroken. After everything Daisy has overcome, she’s back in a kennel—and she’s not doing well.

This sweet girl spent the first 1½ years of her life surviving on the streets of the Bahamas. She came to us shy, undernourished, and unsure of humans. But in her foster home, Daisy thrived. With love, stability, and professional training (thank you Inc!), she became the affectionate, playful, housebroken companion every adopter dreams of.

But now, her foster has left for an extended trip… and Daisy is back in the kennel. She’s confused. Withdrawn. Sad. Our volunteers are doing everything they can, but it’s not the same. Daisy needs a home—not a holding space.

💔 No applications. Not one. We’re shocked. She’s truly a wonderful dog.

Congratulations to Milo on his adoption! Many of you might remember Milo and Simba came to us together and we were planning on adopting them out together but Milo was a perfect fit for this wonderful family and Simba needed more time to conquer his fears. He is very happy with his foster home where he is learning how to be a dog. Many thanks to Henry and Stacy and their awesome 3 kids for welcoming Milo into their home. We wish them years of happiness.

Congratulations to Taz on his adoption! This sweet little boy came to Nala's with his mom from Okeechobee Animal Control and spent a couple weeks at Nala's ranch before being transported to our partner Darbster in NH. His mom was adopted last week and now Taz has a wonderful new family. We are thankful for them for welcoming Taz into their home and to Darbster for their ongoing life saving partnership to help us continue to save the lives of these deserving Okeechobee dogs. 🌟 Shadow’s Next Chapter Begins… Can You Help Write Her Happy Ending? 🌟

Sweet Shadow has just moved into a loving foster home—and the change has done wonders for her spirit 💕. She’s feeling so much better, and after a fresh grooming session, she’s absolutely stunning (just look at those pictures 😍).

This beautiful 11-year-old Siberian Husky was heartbreakingly returned to Nala’s after six years in a home, due to a change in her family’s situation. She was devastated to find herself in a kennel, but thanks to her new foster, she’s rediscovering comfort, companionship, and joy.

Shadow is: 🐾 Gentle, quiet, and well-behaved 🐾 Great with other dogs 🐾 A graceful walker on leash 🐾 A fan of swimming in our doggie pool

We’re now searching for her forever foster home—ideally close to Stuart, FL, so she can continue her care with our trusted veterinarian. Shadow’s medical needs are simple: she’s on special food and medication, and Nala’s covers all costs through our senior program, including vet bills and food.

Shadow is a truly special soul who deserves a peaceful, loving place to hang her hat for her golden years. If you’re nearby and have room in your heart and home, please consider fostering this gentle girl.

UPDATE 09/17/25: Shadow is so happy in her current foster home, she is really thriving, and new medical issues were discovered yesterday so it has been decided that she will stay in her current foster home, with Sandra and her family. 🆘 Help Carson Heal — Save His Sight
At Nala’s New Life Rescue, we believe every dog deserves comfort, care, and a chance at a happy life. Carson, our sweet 7-year-old gentleman, has been waiting patiently for a forever home—and winning hearts along the way. He’s a volunteer favorite, gentle and soulful, with eyes that speak volumes.

But today, Carson needs your help.

💔 Carson has been diagnosed with a painful indolent ulcer in his left eye. These ulcers don’t heal easily. Despite antibiotics, they can worsen quickly—causing infection, intense discomfort, and even loss of vision.

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Carmen Colitz, a leading veterinary ophthalmologist, has recommended a rigorous treatment plan to stimulate healing, prevent infection, and ease Carson’s pain. He’ll need:

A protective cone 24/7

Leash walks only

3 antibiotics + 2 pain meds, multiple times daily

This is a tough road, and we’re already stretched thin from recent fundraisers. But Carson deserves this chance. His comfort matters. His sight matters.
