Ruby (pictured on the left) is one of the most thankful dogs we have ever rescued. This brave girl suffered from severe injuries after being gored by a hog, and the infection almost cost her her life. Thankfully, she was with us on time; her leg had to be amputated, but she is alive. With the expert surgery and care at All Creatures Animal Hospital, Ruby made it! But then, after recovering from her amputation, she had to go through 2 long months of heartworm treatments. Ruby is now off restrictions after her treatment and is able to slowly start running and playing with the small dogs she loves. Without Nala's and your donations, saving Ruby would not have been possible. Nala's pays for complete veterinary care for every dog we rescue, and we specialise in rescuing dogs like Ruby who have no other hope. On this Giving Tuesday, Nala's would like to share some of our most thankful dogs. This is Scottie, he is now adopted and he is cuddled up on the couch, reliving his long journey to his forever home. Scottie was one of hundreds of lucky dogs each year rescued by Nala's New Life Rescue and transported to our partner Darbster in NH. Nala's New Life rescue had previously rescued his brother and sister, and they were both adopted after being transported. Without Nala's, dogs like Scottie would have very little chance to find a forever home. THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY DOGS IN FLORIDA WITH NOT ENOUGH HOMES. On this Thanksgiving Day, Nala's has a special post to follow up on the adoption of 2 very special dogs. On Valentines Day, 2024, Nala's received an urgent call about a very pregnant mom in serious trouble in Okeechobee. Upon arriving at All Creatures Animal Hospital, this brave mom named Nita needed an emergency C Section to try to save her and her puppies' lives. Sadly despite all efforts, only 3 puppies and Nita survived and 2 of the puppies were born blind. These 2 tiny puppies needed weeks of tube feedings and thankfully Madison, a compassionate vet tech at All Creatures who currently has a dog adopted from Nala's, offered to try. Despite numerous setbacks, these beautiful souls both made it, They truly are miracle dogs and Madison adopted the female Andarna (pictured on left). The male, Scooter, was in a foster home with Sandra and when Madison decided Andarna needed a playmate her size, Scooter made himself right at home with her and her wonderful family. It truly took a village of caring people to save these puppies and it took a miracle to find a home for them together where they are so loved. The other puppy, Lennon was adopted by Jennifer and is doing well and mom Nita is still in a foster home with Sandra and waiting and hoping for her own forever home.

Congratulations to Brownie on his adoption! This handsome boy was one of the lucky dogs from Okeechobee Animal Control rescued by Nala's and transported to our amazing partner Darbster. Brownie loves people and we are so happy he has found his forever person. Brownie will definitely enjoy the cooler weather and we hope he and his new mom have many fun journeys in NH.

Congratulations to Dylan on his adoption! This awesome boy was rescued by Nala's from Okeechobee Animal Control and it didn't take long for him to find his forever home at our partner in NH. Everyone at Nala's enjoyed having Dylan at our ranch while he was waiting to be transported to Darbster. Dylan loves every dog and person he meets and we wish many years of happiness for Dylan and his new family.

Foster families desperately needed for the Thanksgiving week!
When we thought we had everything under control, the transport to New Hampshire (planned for leaving Saturday 11/22) got cancelled, and we find ourselves with a lot more dogs than kennels for the Thanksgiving week. We have many dogs who would love to spend a few days with families in Martin or St Lucie Counties., Can you help? We have the 2 little Chihuahuas, Asha and Layla, sweetest little things ever. We have Honey and Dawn, so charming and lovey lovey, and quite a few "single" dogs who are totally trustworthy in a home, people and dog friendly.
Please help for just a few days; we'll provide everything you need, and these are all easy, friendly, loving dogs. We promise you'll enjoy their company.

Brittany may have a grey muzzle, but don’t be fooled—she’s full of life, love, and gentle energy. She’s housebroken, loves walks & car rides, and just wants a quiet home. Cats are fine, but no other dogs.

Layla and Asha are hoping for a miracle, a new forever home together. These girls have been together for much of their lives. Layla is 8 years old and Asha is 4 years old, and they are very bonded. Their mom recently became very sick and could no longer care for these girls due to her medical condition. Layla and Asha are amazing little dogs. They are perfect in a home - housebroken, they do not chew on anything, and they can happily be left alone without any problems since they have each other. They are quiet, healthy and very lovable. They both weigh about 15 pounds and have short coats so they are low maintenance. They are lap and "velcro" dogs, which so many people appreciate. They love people and attention and enjoy going for walks or running and playing in the yard. They also are very friendly and get along great with other dogs.
