Nala's New Life Rescue A 501(c)3 nonprofit in Palm City, FL animal rescue. WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTERS AND MONETARY DONATIONS!

Nala was a life long companion and friend whose brave fight against bone cancer inspired me to re-name my rescue in honor of her. Nala's New Life Rescue has been saving dogs for years who have no other hope. We have a true "no kill policy" and save dogs who need rescued regardless of age, breed or health issues. We specialize in saving unwanted dogs (and cats) from kill shelters all over Florida w

ho otherwise would be euthanized or gassed, Nala's New Life Rescue pays to pull the dogs to safety, cover all medical and transportation expenses and provides a safe foster home or boarding facility until a foster or forever home is approved. All of our animals have a full veterinary examination, vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. We care for them until they are emotionally and or physically healed or a home becomes available. Nala’s New Life Rescue has saved and placed over 150 dogs in new homes in 2016. Nala's New Life Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Brynn was adopted from Nalas a few years ago and her family called asking for our help. They wanted us to know Brynn got out of their house Friday late afternoon along with the other dog they adopted from us. The other dog came back but Brynn did not. She has been missing ever since. They live in Martin Downs and they have been looking for her non stop. It is strange that nobody has seen her. She just finished training at Love Dog and is wearing a training collar and a collar for their electric fence and she is microchipped. Thank you to everyone please let us know if anyone sees her

We are pleased to announce a very special adoption for a very special dog. Congratulations to Scoobs on his adoption! This sweet boy was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's after he was the victim of animal neglect. He was so starved that he needed extra care and love to help him heal. Thanks to foster moms Carole and Barb for providing that love. And he stole the hearts of all Nala's volunteers, as despite what he had been thru, he never stopped wagging his tail or giving hugs and he never lost his faith and trust in humans. It is almost like he knew somehow, someday a miracle would happen. Not only did Nala's rescue Scoobs but when we found out he had 2 brothers and a sister at the shelter that also suffered along with him, we rescued and transported his brother and sister to Darbster in NH (where they were quickly adopted) and his older brother was saved by another rescue before we could take him. Now Scoobs dream has come true thanks to Amy, his new and forever mom. Scoobs lives with her at Jonathan Dickinson State Park and is officially a "Bark Ranger" Scoobs loves his new life and we are so thankful to Amy for welcoming him into her home. We wish them a lifetime of fun and happiness and we love you Scoobs.

Congratulations to Lola on her adoption! This sweet girl was heartbroken a few weeks ago as her owner recently passed away and Lola was returned to Nala's. We are so thankful to Holly and Bruce for offering to foster Lola and now they have finalized her adoption so she can enjoy her senior years with them. Lola is very happy with her fenced yard to chase lizards and with her wonderful new family who gives her all the love she deserves. We wish them many years of happiness, we love you Lola!

To all our Supporters!
The Jensen Beach High School Pickleball Club has graciously agreed to host the 3rd Annual Pickleball Tournament at the North Shore Tennis Club in Stuart to benefit Nala’s New Life Rescue. The event will be held December 13th-15th. This is a critical fundraiser for Nala’s as we respond to an unprecedented increase in dogs and cats needing our help, while the costs to feed and care for these dogs have also increased tremendously.

We are asking for your help in finding local businesses (or individuals) wanting to help our cause by being a Sponsor for this event. Sponsorship opportunities range from $300 - $1,000 (but can be more). Do you, or someone you know have a business that might be interested in a sponsorship? They will get advertisements at the event and entries into the tournament. The attached flyer highlights what’s included in each sponsorship.

In addition, we will be having a raffle at the event and need raffle donations. Know someone who wants to help by donating a raffle item? We’d be extremely grateful for a donation of gift cards or items from restaurants, salons, garden centers, golf clubs, clothing stores, car washes, or any other place you can think of!!! CASH donations are also greatly appreciated.

And finally, although you don’t need to be a Pickleball enthusiast to donate, we’d love it if you get a team together and enter the tournament! Scan the QR code in the flyer to sign up. But hurry… spaces are limited!!

Nala’s thank you for your support… but more importantly, the animals thank you for it!

Chewy is a handsome 5 year old male St. Bernard/Setter mix who is quietly waiting for his forever home. This playful boy LOVES water and his perfect home would be as the only dog with a pool or access to go swimming. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Chewy was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's and absolutely loves people and kids. He would be a loyal companion or great family dog for people who would like a fun loving, sweet dog.

Birdie is adopted! We are so happy for her and her family.
This very special girl was rescued almost a year ago from Okeechobee by Nala's. Sadly, she was heartworm positive and she has been going through heartworm treatment while being fostered by Michele and Jonathan. It all went really well and Birdie just received a negative heartworm test and now we can finalize her adoption! She has a perfect home with Michele and Jonathan and we are so happy for her. We wish them years of happiness, we love you Birdie.

Pumpkin is a wonderful 8-month-old female Black Mouth Cur mix looking forward to a home of her own. Nala's rescued this sweet girl from Okeechobee Animal Control and she is a fun, active girl. She is great with other dogs, and kids.
Pumpkin loves to run and play and would do best with another active dog and a fenced yard. She is crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. She weighs 35 pounds and is pretty much full grown so she is a perfect size.
Would you like to make Pumpkin a part of your family? Please apply on our website at www.nalasrescue.org. If you already have an application on file, please message us.
We are located in Palm City, FL and adopt only in our area.

This is Lucy and she is a perfect dog but sadly we need to find her a new home. She was rescued by Nala's 5 years ago and was adopted by a wonderful couple as a year old puppy. They eventually had kids and as the one child is getting a little older, severe allergies have caused Lucy's family to make the heartbreaking decision to return her to Nala's. They have tried everything but the child is really suffering. She is now 6 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She is housebroken, well trained, great with kids, dogs and cats. We are working with her family to try to re-home this sweet girl so she does not have to come back to the kennel. Lucy stays here at Nala's ranch when her family goes on vacation so we are very familiar with what an awesome dog she is. She is an expert at playing ball and we are hoping to find a family who will help make this
adjustment as easy as possible for her. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Tiny doggie duo up for adoption - Palm City, FL / Treasure Coast
Bella (right) and Bijou (left) are a bonded mother and son Chiweenie mix hoping for a forever home together. This wonderful little family was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's and they are happy, healthy dogs. Bella is about 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds and Bijou is 5 months old and weighs 8 pounds. They are both spayed and neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Their favorite thing is to cuddle together or run around the yard, happily chasing each other. They are good with other dogs and cats and will definitely brighten a lucky adopters' home.
Perfect for a family with children over 10 years old, or an adult household.

URGENT: Short Term foster needed - Palm City, FL and Treasure Coast
Bear is a 6 year old Pomeranian who is in need of a foster home for a week starting 10/31 while his current foster mom goes out of town. Bear is also patiently waiting for his forever home. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations but he is heartworm positive and is currently going thru the slow treatment due to his size.

Bear is very laid-back and independent. He was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's and was not socialized, so he has come a long way in his current foster home. He does not need to be groomed as he has fairly short hair; he is combed daily. He just needs someone who has the patience to let him learn to trust people. He is good with other dogs. As often, young children are not a good match for a shy dog like Bear.

Can you help? Please message us. If you have never fostered or adopted from us before, you will be asked to fill out the application form on our website: www.nalasrescue.org

What an amazing week for Nalas dogs at Darbster in NH as 5 dogs, all rescued from Okeechobee found their forever homes after being transported. The situation at Okeechobee Animal Control has gone from bad to worse after the hurricane. Last week this rural shelter located an hour west of Nalas took in 55 dogs in one week. We are so thankful for our partnership with Darbster which allows us to continue saving lives. It is hard work and lots of money but this makes it worth everything. Congratulations to Bruno!

Adoption Process and fees

When you first contact us to adopt a dog, you will be asked to fill out and submit an application on our website at nalasrescue.org/adoption-application

The application will be reviewed by the members of our adoption committee to ensure that the family will be able to match the dog or cat’s needs, and that we can move forward to a safe and happy adoption. The first thing we do after receiving an application is to check vet references (if available) and personal references (if there is no vet reference).

If the references check out, you will be contacted for a meet and greet with the dog or cat you applied for. Please come with an open mind. You might meet more dogs and cats, and who knows where the perfect connection will be?

If the meet and greet goes well, we then conduct a home visit with all your household members, humans and pets, and if the home visit goes well, we’ll be ready to finalize the adoption.
