Ever wonder how we get the right number of biscuits in a package? We count 4 at a time to make rows of 12 and then group the rows into groups of 12, 24, 36 or 72, depending on what size we’re packaging. Kind of weird, I know, but that’s how it’s done 🤪.

This wellness basket is being shipped out today to support the International Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club fundraising event. The basket is filled with goodies from some of our wholesale partners. Paws Applause Scarborough has the wonderful grooming business and we were able to get this shampoo. Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters supplied the slicker brush and dog treats. Peavey Hill Feeds was able to send us the adorable hedge hog and we got the safety light at Pet Pantry in Freeport. We hope this basket raises a lot of money for their event!

Bosker is a 110 pound, 11 year old Shiloh Shepherd. He has always been quite active and enjoyed playing fetch. His owner reports that last year, Bosker started getting very anxious and confused at night with pacing, whining, barking, and howling. Having had older dogs before, his owners had a few tricks to help out, but nothing really worked for him. Bosker's owners were hesitant to try KC's Gourmet CBD Dog Biscuits after a friend recommended them because they had tried other anxiety treats with hardly any noticeable effect. Bosker and his owner are sure glad they took the chance! Bosker is now sleeping most of the night again, his panicky vibe is gone and his owners are getting more sleep! He also has more focus and interest in playing and interacting than he has had in a while.

Cookie is an 11 year old Pug/Beagle mix whose owner rescued her from Tennessee when was six years old. Six months ago, she started vomiting when she ate and not wanting her food. As any pug owner knows, pugs LOVE food! Cookie’s owner took her to the vet who said she was fine and prescribed Prilosec every morning before she eats. This worked but when the dose wore off Cookie would start vomiting again. After hearing that CBD could help with gastric issues, Cookie’s owner decided to give it a try. She now gets a half of KC’s Gourmet CBD dog biscuit before meals and her tummy is happy. Cookie’s energy level has increased and her human is seeing her run and play with the kids more.

Last week, we baked 9 pies for the Lincoln Downtown Craft Fair. We asked for a $10 donation for each pie. Many people donated without taking a pie so we were able to raise $156 for the Penobscot Valley Humane Society. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Not every KC's Gourmet biscuit makes it into a bag of biscuits. Matt has very high standards and we are often left with biscuits that are too small, odd shaped, or just not pretty enough.

We never let them go to waste. This cookie jar and bag of imperfect biscuits are on their way to Villalobos Rescue Center of the television show Pit Bulls and Parolees in hopes they can benefit their rescue dogs.

Meet Ty! She is a 10 ½ year old Shiloh Shepherd who has had many health challenges over the years. Earlier in her life she battled a chronic condition, breast cancer, and recently lost an eye due to a ruptured cornea. Through it all, she has managed to find her loving spirit again. However, she does not like thunderstorms!
