Happy tails!

We are excited to share that Tali has completely recovered from her amputation and was adopted this week. She has already made herself at home with her new mom and human siblings, who are thrilled to have her join their family 😻

Do you love chips and queso? If so, you'll probably love me, too...because my name is Taco! My human foster sister is nicknamed Burrito, and she named me Taco because I'm her perfect little sidekick.

I had a home at one point, but found myself on the streets just before Christmas. My foster mom took me in and I was able to spend the holidays with her family, but now I am ready for my furever home. I'm a simple chap who doesn't need much — I really just want to be wherever you are. I do enjoy doing zoomies and chasing my canine foster sister around the yard, going for walks at the park and the beach, and playing with fun squeaky toys. I also love to nap and even sleep through the night in my crate. My foster mom says I'm one of the best fosters she's had in a long time!

I'm a spry little guy at just 4 years old and 13 lbs. I'm vaccinated, neutered, HW-, microchipped, good with kids and dogs, and overall one chill dude. Want to meet me? Please email [email protected] and ask for Taco!

Everyone loves a long-haired Tortie!

HELLO! I know it’s hard not to to be captivated by my mesmerizing eyes and gorgeous hair, but let’s focus for a minute so I can introduce myself. I’m Tali, and I am the most amazing kitten you will ever meet!

I’m pretty sure I was meant to be a star. No, really, it’s true! Being born homeless didn’t stop me from testing the waters of a potential modeling career…but during my runway debut, I took a bit of a spill and severely broke my leg. It was embarrassing but didn’t stop me from strutting over to a sweet cat lady for help. She phoned a friend and yada, yada, yada, here I am!

Fast forward to today, when I’m about 6 months old, only have 3 legs and run my foster home. I live with a buff pittie mix, a giant Cane Corso, and another darling dog. While I’m the smallest, I have the biggest personality, am super confident, and my fans can’t stop talking about me!

Why we do what we do…

Last December we received a message about a dog who had been tied to a pole and abandoned for at least 2 days. The dog was scared, smelled awful, and was labeled as “aggressive” by a man who lived in the apartments nearby. We sat down and waited for him to be less weary of us…but never expected that just 15 minutes later, he would bury his head in our volunteer's arm and sit in her lap. After that, they were besties 👩🏻🥰🐶

We named this big, goofy golden doodle Buddy because he was so full of unbridled joy and energy, much like Buddy the Elf! After a good bath, full groom, vet visits, and plenty of training, he was in much better shape than when we found him. He went to a fantastic foster home that eventually decided to adopt him, so this year Buddy is living his best life and spending Christmas with his forever family ❤️

Happy tails — we are so happy to share that Brian has found his forever home, just in time for the holidays! We have no doubt this active family is the perfect fit for Brian and know he will be so very loved by them ❤️

We also want to give a big shout out to Linda, who had never fostered before. She did a great job of keeping him safe, taking him to vet appointments, and showing him love while he was in her care. Thank you so much, Linda!

Are you looking for a sweet dog who already knows his manners, is housetrained, and walks well on a leash?

Then look no further than our very young-at-heart senior Otto — he’s just 8 lbs of perfection! No puppy mischief or unexpected growth spurts with this cutie! He's completely vaccinated, neutered, and healthy. Our best guess is that he may be around 8-9 yrs old. He did have teeth that had to he removed, but eats canned food like a champ!

URGENT‼️

Tali is a super sweet, young kitten with a severely fractured femur! Our volunteers consulted 3 vets and all agreed that she is in need of immediate surgery, with estimated vet bills close to $2000!

We recently took in two tiny, sick kittens from the home of an elderly, hospitalized individual. Four neighbors, including one of our long time volunteers, removed a total of 21 kittens from the property, with 15 of them going to rescue groups. They also trapped 18 adult cats and made sure all were TNR’d to stop the breeding cycle.

Charlie (ginger M) only weighed 1.1 lbs the day we picked him, and his littermate Frankie (grey F) was slightly larger at 1.6 lbs. Both were infested with fleas and worms, as well as a painful parasitic infection of their GI systems. Charlie also had an upper respiratory infection to deal with. But despite their rough beginnings, living outdoors with their very feral mama, these kittens will no longer be strays…we will make sure they are fully vetted, socialized, and adopted to loving homes.

As a small rescue that is 100% funded by donations and run by volunteers, we desperately need your help to keep going. Can you spare a few dollars today?

Would you just look at this handsome guy?!

This is Brian, and he is quite a unique looking guy with a long body but short stature. He is an absolute darling and just wants to be wherever you are. He is an especially great snuggler and loves kids!

Brian is only 30 lbs, about 2-2.5 years old, fully vaccinated, HW-, neutered, and completely housetrained. He loves to go out for walks and adventures! If you’ve never had a dog before and are looking for the perfect companion, Brian is a dream 🥰

Um, hi. I'm Roscoe and I *cannot believe* my sisters Lucy and Lady left me out of their post yesterday — how rude! Well, I suppose it’s for the best since now I have your undivided attention!

I am everything you could possibly want in a young lad — I’m friendly, loving and quite the cuddle bug. I just love to snuggle and will purr and purr when we are together. You know who needs a happy tail? This girl!

Merida was thrown over a fence and dumped at one of our volunteer’s workplace (video in comments). She was picked up by the SPCA as a cruelty case and is now available for rescue or adoption.

Doesn’t she just have the sweetest face?! We’d love to show her that there are some very kind humans who would take great care of her, but first we need to find someone willing to foster. Could that be you??

Another happy tail!

Just a few days ago, Arya went to her new home. She's a dog who we courtesy posted and assisted by sponsoring some training for her. Voila! She now has a feline sibling and a mother who is very excited to have her. Have a great life, Arya! 🐾❤️🐾

You never know how dogs and cats are going to get along…but we are so happy to see Willie Waffles (fka Sarabi) and his new canine sibling Birdie are already besties!

Snow Day!

While most of us were trying to stay warm during the freeze, one of our adopters took advantage of the low temps and created a snow day for her rescue dog!
