Working dogs like to work...
We're going to start to feature some client videos (and pictures over on muttmanservices.com), showing what we do with our favorite furry people! (not counting Fred or Wallace- relax guys)
Here's lovely miss Lily, at the Muttman watering hole over the summer!
Snow fun. Not that far away...
Panda and Fred run about and dig
Another Panda and Freddie (Pongo at the time) video, from their time as my fosters.
Puppy siblings Panda and Pongo
Another short video of Freddie (Pongo at the time) and sister Panda when I was fostering them.
Talking Fred
Freddie complaining that it's time for dinner. Despite the odd noises, no, there isn't anything wrong with him...
Freddie and Panda chew on things
More video of younger Freddie and his sister Panda while I was fostering them for Chain of Hope.
Fred and his sister when little
I first met Fred when I was fostering him (he was Pongo officially at the time) and his sister Panda for Chain of Hope (https://www.facebook.com/ChainofHopeKC/) . Like many siblings, they were both very attached and very ready to get into fairly violent disagreements with each other, which the larger Panda tended to win. Here they find an old bone in my yard, contest for a bit, then Panda takes it for herself.
Wrestlemania 2.0
Freddie and Fuzz wrestle and tug-o-war. Btw, the scraps of paper on the floor are from Fred destroying a water stained copy of The Cider House Rules. He didn't find it as appealing as The World According to Garp... (not really, was a sacrificial item left on the floor to absorb his recent tendency to destroy things when I leave him alone).
Fuzz and Freddie Wrestlemania
Fuzz and Freddie and the almost daily wrestle session. Many good examples of the 'doggie laugh' I mention in one of my blogs, too.
Freddie Crazy Act, 2.0
More crazy Freddie action, with brother Chuck getting involved, too.
Freddie does the crazy act
When Freddie gets cranked up playing with his sister to a certain point, he goes nuts and starts running back and forth like a madman (not exactly an odd doggie thing, Fuzz does the same thing, even at 12 years old). Here's a small sample of the crazy act-
Fred and Chuck
Fred and his nice brother Chuck, who lets him chew on his ears, and generally tolerates him regardless of how annoying he acts.
Fred being Fred
Fred being Fred. This was posted before (I think), thought it was a dupe and deleted by mistake.
Fred watches himself
Fred is quite the TV watcher, he seems much more interested than most dogs. Odd since he clearly doesn't see well, he has trouble telling it's me from 10 feet away. Here he watches a video of himself- the 'Fred and the funny noise' one.
Freddie's Sunny Time
Fred enjoying the sun.
Fred and Chuck, sleeping pals
Some may ask why we don't do pet sitting at Muttman Central, as many sitters do these days. The simple answer is that I don't think its a very good idea. Dogs are very much creatures of habit- same ol' same ol' equals security and peace of mind. In my opinion, the last thing a dog wants when their human pack leaves is to be uprooted and placed in a strange setting, especially if it is another dog's territory (which is immediately apparent via their noses). Sure, some dogs will go along to get along, but from anecdotal evidence watching a neighbor try to provide pet sitting in her home via an online service (she ended up paying more in vet bills than she ever made through the service when her dog was attacked by a boarder- I actually had to jump a fence and intervene to break it up), I think it is a sketchy concept. Your dog(s) get security and comfort from their home environment, as demonstrated in the attached video....
