Long Time Lou: The Dog Everyone Forgot
Eight years. That’s how long Lou has been waiting. Waiting for a family. Waiting for someone to choose him. But after all this time, he’s finally faced the truth—no one is coming for him.

Not a single application. Just one foster home, two years ago, during the coldest months of winter. Then, back to the rescue, back to the same routine, back to being overlooked. Maybe he’s too big. Maybe his breed isn’t what people want. Or maybe he’s just never been lucky.

Lou isn’t a bad dog. He’s good with other dogs, loves treats, and enjoys people. But year after year, family after family, he watches them walk past him, never stopping to ask about the old dog who has given up hope. He never had a home, and at this point, he doesn’t believe he ever will.

Lou may not expect a miracle anymore, but maybe… just maybe… you could be the one to give him the home he’s always dreamed of. Please, don’t let him be forgotten. Petsaversshreveport.

We're moving! Can you help us with the kitties?

Update: we now have less than 3 weeks and Aaron has had his right hand in a cast since the end of May. 😭

In a little less than 60 days the kiddo, Aaron and I need to move all 31 cats (in one trip) to our new home 2 hours away. We will probably have to rent a large cargo van because it will be too hot to transport them without air conditioning.

We need to have a new building built, along with cat safe fencing and we will need to have the Senior Center moved. It’s going to be very expensive and we can use whatever help we can get.

We need carriers, litter pans, cat towers and funds for the building and fencing the most. If you can help in any way with ANY of that we would greatly appreciate it.

I know I haven’t been posting a lot lately but the stress has been overwhelming and I’m exhausted. I promise I’ll be sharing kitty pics/videos again once this move is over and done with!

As always, we are truly grateful for each and every one of you that have supported the kitties over the past few years. We couldn’t do this without you.
