It is officially official… Per the AKC, our boy Yong is now a CM2, the first of the Korean Jindo Dog’s breed history! Accumulating over 30 points in conformation through only Group 1s and Best in Open Shows, we are really proud after working very hard from the beginning of his story.

Thank you so much to all of the AKC judges who have recognized and awarded our dog. Thank you to his breeder, Mr. Sunghyun Kim of Noryeong Sanmaek Kennel. Thank you to everyone for your support, and with the Korean Jindo Dog Association of America.

As we have been slowly making progress with starting up Hwarang Kennel 화랑 진돗개, very excited to see how we can learn and improve in the future. Bright things ahead…!

Noryeong Sanmaek Kiss My Glass absolutely smashed it at her first AKC match today in NY with a wagging tail, happy smile, and a Puppy Group 1!

So proud of this amazing, calm, beautiful little puppy. She is making everyone so proud.

The Jindo is a dog that:

- Traveled 180 miles to return to her owner.
- Rushes at a boar in place of his master.
- Had to feed itself when war torn Korea was starving.
- Places his faithfulness in his owner above all.

The Jindo is a breed that was truly shaped by the time period, environment and culture of our country, Korea. The breed should be respected as a cultural monument of Korea - of which breeders and enthusiasts who live there love the breed so much that those who are willing to share their dogs with foreign countries do so because they want to see the breed thrive. This generosity should not be taken for granted.

It is a symbol of faith, loyalty, belief, bravery, and love.
