*IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PAYMENTS AND E-TRANSFER*

Hey Compassionate Dog Grooming Fam,

I had a client come in the other day with some pretty scary/disturbing news. Someone had hacked into her bank account and sent an etransfer to my name and email for a large amount of money. I’m not sure if my email was compromised and they had a way to intercept the transfer but thankfully her bank was on it and flagged it so it didn’t go through.

The stress and worry from finding out that information and the thought that there was even a slight chance that someone would think that I would or could do that (which she didn’t) actually threw my neck out of alignment 😬

With all of that being said, I am now working on a CASH ONLY basis. I will remind you when you drop your dog off so you have time to get cash before picking them back up.

Ol Lady Angel got a fresh new do for spring. I first groomed her what feels like a life time ago, before I ever had my own business. I am always so grateful to clients who entrust me with their seniors 🐾❤️

Meet Vesta

She has previously had some not so great experiences with groomers. Her human mama was worried about her trying to bite me so she brought her in with a muzzle to keep both of us safe.
After maybe 5 mins of having this sweet girl on my table the muzzle was removed, never to return again 😅🥰

Vesta was anxious, but she was in no way, shape or form aggressive and I wasn’t worried for even a moment that she would snap at me or try to bite. Slow and steady wins the race and in this instance, won this sweet girls trust!

Sweet Jesse was much less anxious today then when she was in the last time! Makes my heart so happy to see dogs come out of their shells and have their personalities shine through! 🐾🥰

Today I groomed an older gal named Abby for the first time. She was quite anxious/stressed so I did things a little different than I would with most dogs.

Abby didn’t get a bath or get blow dried today, and I didn’t even try to cut her nails her first experience with me. I went slowly and she got loves of love.

Dogs who are older (or have medical conditions) can have a heart attack when they are too stressed, and I absolutely WILL NOT put a dog under unnecessary stress to please a human. Abby’s owner was very happy with her hair cut and said she will definitely be back!

I know there are groomers out there that do things by the book, but I am not one of them. I do things according to the dogs level of comfort. Maybe next time we will get her nails done, maybe not. Only Abby will decide that! 🥰🐾

Sweetest little girl Sadie came in for her very first hair cut today! I think she wins for best puppy I have ever groomed… her sister Charm comes in at a VERY close second 🥰🐾

It’s been a long time since I’ve groomed a really matted dog. And when dogs come in to see me for their first time with coats in this condition and I’m not sure of their temperament and they are unsure about me, I take it extra slow with them.
I don’t ever want a dog to:
A) be fearful because of fast movements
B) potentially get nicked because the matts are so close to the skin
C) bite me because the hair is so tight it hurts them

So slow and steady wins the race. Maki was an all star today. He was nervous about some parts and we worked through it bit by bit. By the end he was such a happy guy and felt so much better! 💙🐾
