Sophie Lola Brotherton My name is Sophie and I am a rescue dog from Bulgaria. I was beaten and my back leg broken.

Fortunately a Good Samaritan stepped in and took me to a vet who contacted Help Bulgaria Street Cats and Dogs who agreed to fund my treatment. I was then looked after by Michelle, a founder of HBSCAD, until my forever home could be found. I travelled to the UK and on 18th March 2017 I met my adoptive parents and joined the Brotherton family. This page is to share my story as I settle into family life and to raise awareness for all rescue dogs, in the UK and overseas.

Please read. This is the amazing charity that saved Sophie from the streets of Bulgaria and brought her to safety with us.

If you could spare £1 or 1€ it would help. To see dogs like River below breaks my heart.

River is currently staying in the clinic undergoing test so far she’s lost complete sight in both eyes , she’s had all her ticks removed , she is being treated for severe infection in all 4 paws where they have been split , she as 4 tumors to the abdomen , her fur was so matted with poo her ears looked like they were glued closed, eyes full of infected gunk this little girl as been someone’s pet and most likely dumped because of her condition , common occurring problem here in Bulgaria. River snuggled up to me so close almost pleading for help
When I picked her up. Tomorrow we will have more updates on her when her test results are in. All we can do is hope the outcome as a little hope for her, PayPal [email protected]

Please, please help if you can, even if it’s only £1 or €1. It would be such a shame if this charity had to close, who would be there to help the abandoned, mistreated and unwanted animals of Bulgaria.

Hi if you can help, please do - the wonderful people at Help Bulg… Anne Clarke needs your support for Help Bulgaria Street Cats and Dogs- Foreclosure

Can anyone in the UK open their hearts and home to this little girl who deserves the chance I was given?

Just back from my day long MOT at White Cross Vets, Kings Heath and have gained a new item of clothing! All tests normal and no health concerns - Yay!

While mommy's account was blocked, I've been to the doggy parlour, been photographed for a calendar, had lots of toys bought for me and even have my own paddling pool!

Bank holiday Monday. A stroll along the canal with the 'in-laws' and cousin Dexter, then a spot of lunch at the pub.

Today I joined my buddy, Oz, at the Wythall Dog Show. I didn't win anything (unlike Oz who managed to win 2 beautiful rosettes) but I did meet a lot of different sized dogs and was well behaved.

What a busy weekend! Saturday I went along to the bowls match but found a lovely stone to play with instead.

Help Bulgaria Street Cats and Dogs

This is the organisation that helped me find my forever home in the UK

This is our April £1.00 a month fundraiser, we do this fundraiser on a monthly basis and ask all our supporters to please just support the work we do so we can carry on doing what we do, we have 36,149 supporters on our page out of all them supporters 130 have donated to our £1.00 a month fundraiser and we have had 4.3k shares, if everyone who clicks like below on this fundraiser just donated that £1.00 each month or the people who share it just donated that £1.00 we would not have to keep putting posts up for help, sadly as you can see we have very few supporters at the moment supporting the work we do and with out the support we cant keep helping animals off the streets, so we are asking please support please donate just that £1.00 each month, thank you for reading x
