We should also make it clear that this camera works with your phone even when you have no cell phone service and it DOES NOT use your cell phone data package. But the smartphone or tablet you are using for the screen needs to be within 150 feet when using it as a trailer or campground camera. You may continue to answer and talk on your smartphone if you have 3G service,while screen showing trailer's image. Comments: I LOVE MY Trailer Eyes! I recently upgraded and enjoy that even better! You are all so good to us and give us great service! Recently my friend's 27 year old Arabian had an emergency trip to Athens GA for a strangulating lypoma. He survived thank goodness after 10 ft of colon removed! She was very concerned about bringing him home without being able to check on him. I was happy to offer my services with the trailer eyes. She was so grateful as she could watch her boy all the way home. I recommend this to all my friends with trailers. Once you have the opportunity to watch your precious cargo..you don't ever want to be with out your Trailer Eyes!

GoPro is the biggest brand in the market, their price is two to five times higher than ACT-20. At $109, ACT-20 includes everything, a 4GB Micro SD card to start it, and a car charger for we to recharge the battery just about everywhere.

Compare to GoPro models, ACT20's size is smaller and the weight is lighter, it is easier to be mounted on a rider's helmet. Remember that we will need to dodge branches all the time, and for safety reason, it is better not to mount too much extra weight and bulky staff on your helmet. Of course, if money is not an issue, you can go for GoPro, they have 1080P resolution, blue tooth compatible and smartphone application . Other than that, ACT20 will bring home your riding experience just about the same.

In 5.8 GHz. TE-0811 B2 system, you actually can let both antennas stay inside of the truck and trailer. Please see how you can "clip" the antenna by the window of the trailer , without using a zip tie.

Also, please see how I mount the camera, since that very spot has nothing for me to use the clamping bracket, I mount a wooden block and clamp the camera on it. Here is the reason why I do it , because I overnight camping very often, and I always worry that my horses might break out the pen and run away (It did happened) . By using clamping bracket, I can remove the camera from the trailer easily and mount it by the horse pen or high-tie, and monitor them during the night. I use an emergency jump start battery pack to provide the power to the camera. And mount the monitor in my living quarter during the time I stay in the camp.

We had 45 degree and calm weather. Hooked the trailer, setup Trailer Eyes, I had a wonderful ride with my two dogs. There were very few people in the park, did not see any other riders. Tomorrow is gonna reach 10 degree only...

Here is the picture of using emergency jump start battery pack as camera's power source. It depends on the capacity of the battery pack. If it is a regular jump start battery pack , I would say it will run the camera from 36 hours to 48 hours. This is a handy power source for you to use in an over night camping trip.

My horses ran away on 2010 in Governor Dodge State Park , WI. It was a good lesson to me, ever since, I setup the camera for my overnight camping trip. So I don't need to get out of my living quarter every 10 minutes just to make sure they are still there.

Trailer Eyes is the only system can do this for you.

Use Trailer Eyes as your barn cam or to watch them in your pasture. Especially the TE-0811 B2 system. This system is on 5.8 GHz. The transmit distance can be up to 1000 ft. You may use the new TE-0912 system for the same purpose. but the distance can only be up to 400 to 500 ft. And TE-0912 does not come with 110V power adapter, you will need to purchase them separately, ($13.95 each, you will need two of them.)

Other than that, both systems are working on the same principle. Which is easily to move around, and can use all type power sources.

1.Use the C clamp base to clamp the camera on your desired spot.
2. Provide the power to the camera. If you really can't find power source for the camera. You may use "Emergency Jump start battery pack" which is sold in everywhere.
3. position the booster antenna as high as you can, and better to let two antennas SEE each other.
4. Setup the monitor in your house. set the antenna outside of your house.

Done.
