At 5 and 3 we thought it was about time Evie and Tek met one of their Auntie's cats!

No aggression at all 🥳

A lot of curiosity from Evie while Tek watched cautiously from a distance. He wasn't impressed that the teddy moved and talked on its own 😂

Got these two playing a new game tonight!

Evie gets to herd the ball while Tek is sitting, then she runs off and hides it for him to find!
She never liked bringing it back anyway so is learning "hide it"
Tek absolutely loves to "find it" so they both had a blast!

Dog food arrived yesterday.

It's Evies job to unpack it.
I then put the food away and tidy up.
Tek then rips the box up into small pieces before going for a nap.
I then tidy up...again.

At least it saves space in the recycling bin 😂

Was pretty busy but both dogs behaved well, even when a few off lead pups ran up to them to play

He was pulling like a steam train while Evie walked perfectly so I fixed his lead into a figure of 8 over his nose....he turned into a perfect dog walking to heel and checking in with me.

Took him a few minutes to stop trying to pull it off his nose but got there by the time we got home!

1: run round like a loony
2: bite your tongue
3: lick your face
4: return to human but don't open your mouth.

Watch human panic.

5: give up and show human your tongue to stop them panicking
6: continue to run around like nothing happened.

Big brave dogs this morning! Trip to the vets for boosters and a check up (both on their best behaviour 😍🤩) then a walk round the town to a water fall and across an "open" bridge.

Home for breakfast then a snooze

XL Hol-ee roller is big enough to become a "jail" for tennis ball.

When I saw him starting to get annoyed I made sure he "won" the ball.

Evie watched in amazement....then stole the ball 😂

Nice, overcast morning for a walk round all of Cambus O May. Pretty sure we walked some parts twice 🤔 but hey...dogs had fun!

Every puddle, pond, burn, water fall and stream was played in. 😂

Bumped into Fara and her BFF Tali this morning. All dogs were off lead when they met. Some raised hackles and a few snarls between her and Tek but on the whole a positive "black Lab" experience.

Evie even shared her toy!

Happy dogs 😍 and yes, I did have a toy in my hand 😂

They had to endure yet another attack tonight.

Another Black Lab.

They were on lead walking perfectly. It was off lead running around the forest.

The owner called it back too late. It spotted them. She charged at us teeth showing and growling.

Evie and Tek were calm. More so than normal. We had watched it run around for a few minutes before it spotted us.

It went straight for Evies nose. She showed her teeth and told it off. Tek threw in his thoughts too. Thankfully the owner (who had a young child with her) was quick to regain control of her dog.

I was speechless.
Thankfully no physical injuries were sustained but I'm sure that it's put them on edge again.

Evie and Tek aren't the friendliest of dogs but each attack that has happened (about 11 now) and each time a "friendly" dog has ran up to them, they have been on lead and under my control.

What annoys me the most is the other owners....they tell me my dogs are the bad ones, the out of control ones just because they bark and defend themselves. They don't realise that their off lead dog is the out of control one in these instances.
Yes Evie and Tek might be loud, and look vicious but they are on a lead that is tightly wrapped round my hand. The only way they will get your dog is if it invades their space. And you know what, they can have at it. I've had enough.

Know your dog. Control your dog. Save my dog.

Evie found a massive "tree toy" yesterday and carried it about half a mile home.

She was very proud of her find 😂
