Dessert for Dogs An annual delicious fundraiser to help support the Minidoka Joint Powers Animal Control Shelter in R Tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

The Minidoka Joint Powers Animal Control Shelter (MJPACS), along with the City of Rupert and Minidoka County are proud to present an annual fundraiser for the shelter called “Dessert for Dogs”. MJPACS is a not for profit facility that is funded in large part by donations and volunteer staff. The shelter is allotted a small annual operating budget provided by the tax payers of Minidoka County and t

he City of Rupert. Due to the increasing costs of animal care, spaying / neutering and the basic requirements to run the shelter, donations are vital to keep up with the daily needs of our four legged friends as the staff work tirelessly to rescue, revive, rehabilitate and re-home the dogs that come into the facility. With the help of tireless volunteer and public support, the MJPACS has reduced the number of dogs euthanized from over 90% several years ago to less than 1% in 2016; most of the dogs in Minidoka County that come to the facility, for whatever reason, are rescued and adopted by loving families. The First Annual Dessert for Dogs event will offer the community a unique evening of sampling deliciously made dessert from our area’s top chefs and those with a flair for making sweet treats! The event will be held at the Historic Wilson Theater on February 9, 2017 and a time is still TBD. Prizes will be awarded in several different dessert categories to the top chefs through a voting process by the attendees. There will also be a silent auction, entertainment and an opportunity to talk with those that work so hard for our furry little friends at MJPACS. We are seeking sponsorship's, donations and entries of all kinds to make this event a success and something that attendees will save the date for years to come! There are several different levels of sponsorship's available, and every corporate sponsor will have their logo proudly placed on our event banner that will be displayed on social media sites, press releases, invitations, posters and PSA’s. Levels include:
Bronze - $100
Silver - $250
Gold - $500
Platinum - $1000 or more

Other donation items are needed to make the event a huge success; such as prizes for category winners, as well as items/packages to present for the live and silent auctions. All donations are tax deductible, and we would be happy to present you with a receipt. Thank you for your consideration! The Board Members of Dessert for Dogs,
Sen. Kelly Anthon, ACO Ken Mort, Jeana Allred, Tammy Jones, ACO Deb Heinze, Gina Jameson
