Georgia Animal Control Network A network of people helping get pound animals to a better life. Most of these animals are located in Central Georgia USA
(90)

This page is dedicated to the missing, lost, stray, and unwanted dogs picked up by Monroe County Animal Control. It is our goal to reunite lost and missing dogs with their owners, and to find homes for all others. Unfortunately we take in aggressive dogs who will not be posted on our page, but will be available for reclaim only after descriptive positive ID. Also unfortunately there is a lag time b

etween the dogs intake date and the date of their photo appearing on our page. We have one Animal Control Officer and one Shelter Manager, the 2 of us run all calls, pick ups, clean/feed/water all impound dogs, make trips to the vet, handle all phone calls, adoptions, and rescues. At times we are too busy to get photographs and load them on our page, but we do put them up as time allows us. Please share the photos of our Adoptable Dogs, you never know who may see them and make a life long fur friend match.

Sonja Adams and Cson Johnson are at it again. They are picking up out of county dogs, taking owner surrenders in mass numbers just to bury the dogs in Macon Bibb Animal Welfare. They didn’t like it when they were removed from the facility and placed at the BSO several years back. I heard Cson herself say she wanted to see everyone at MBAW go down and she didn’t care how many had to die for her to be back at the MBAW. Those women don’t belong in today’s Animal Control and Welfare community and Macon Bibb Needs your help. PLEASE READ Copied from a friend BELOW.

Sheriff Davis wants to seize the control of the Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare. In his own words, he is admitting due to the shortage of Deputies, who fight crime, that crime is rising every day in Macon Bibb Co. “The Sheriff dept may one day not be able to their job here in Macon Bibb Co.” I am voting against Sheriff Davis, if he continues his pursuit of a hostile take over of Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare. He NO more cares about the Animals then He does his own Deputies. He needs to make changes. I called this phone number (478) 621-5635, last week to let Him know I’m voting against him. I care about our Deputies on the Streets and Our Homeless Animals! Animal Enforcement Office needs major changing in salary cuts and personal. They should not take over the Animal Welfare.

By the way, in a Task force meeting for the Stray Animals a year ago, Director Sonja Adams, Declared War On Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare. There were witnesses to her actions.
I will continue to call! Will you join me?

According to a WMAZ Interview,

“There may be a time, if we follow this path, that we may not be able to do the job that we hope we can do," says Sheriff David Davis.

Now my QUESTION to You, my friends and family, is this department going to be able to run our Animal Welfare, when they cannot even Control high numbers of crimes in Bibb Co? Believe me euthanasia rates will go sky high. Just like they did during the month of June 1-July, 2015. 88 wonderful adoptable dogs were murdered for time and space under the orders of Director Sonja Adams and Asst Director Cson Johnson. Only one thing will happen if the euthanasia rate does not go up. Intake will slow down.

If you decide to call Sheriff Davis, please ask him the following questions.

Sheriff Davis since Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare is Currently Closed. Where are all the Stray Dogs going now that your Animal Enforcements Officers are picking up off the streets? ARE THEY ALIVE OR IN A BLACK BAG IN A FREEZER WAITING FOR THEIR FINAL RIDE TO OUR LANDFILL. DO THEIR OWNERS KNOW??

By the way Sheriff Davis since your ACO are still picking dogs up off the streets, let’s say the poor furkid gets scared are you giving orders to euthanize them immediately? When Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare was opened before your team got them shut down, Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare tried to called and there was a legal 7 day Stray hold. I would think this stray hold would still apply today. Is it?

Maybe you can careless about the dogs and cats of Macon Bibb Co. But I do know you care about your wallet and purse, which leads me to those wonderful words taxpayers pay salary.

Think about this next question.
Why does Sheriff Davis have these two women, making a combine salary of $140,000, acting as Director and assistant director over THREE Animal Enforcement Officers, when DEPUTIES, who are fighting crime on the streets get pennies on the dollar? Have I got your attention?

Then it is time for this question.

Why is Sheriff Davis allowing Director Sonja Adams and Asst director Cson Johnson send their AC officers in Twiggs Co to rescue dogs on Bibb Co Taxpayers’ Dollars? Not only are these AC Officers working in Twiggs Co but are drawing overtime on Bibb Co citizens’ hard earned money. Yes this means YOU & ME are paying for “saving” Twiggs Co Stray Animals.

These two ladies, in the past have allowed a Houston Co citizen to Surrendered his 8 dogs into our already Extremely urgent Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare. Guess what Houston Co has a Animal Control. Why did Sonja Adams & Cson Johnson received these Surrendered Animals in the field. In case you don’t know, NO fees are collected for in field Owner Surrendered Animal. If you can come into the Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare to Surrender your animal you must pay a fee.

Guess what over the last couple of months, they have been flooding our shelter system which caused it to be shut down by the Dept of Ag. Ask for an open request records if you don’t believe me. Numbers do not lie! Due to the high fines, Sonja Adams & Cson Johnson & Sheriff Davis losing control over them are costing taxpayers dearly. Thank you Sonja, Cson and Sheriff Davis great job for stressing our county’s finances. Sheriff Davis, I make you a promise tonight I will never vote for you or anyone else, who support. County Commissioners I am not voting for you either.
Does anyone else feel the same way I do right now?

If I was Sheriff, I would make sure we had enough Deputies on the streets to protect our citizens. Crime would go down. I would make sure our Deputies had proper equipment and cars that are needed to do their job. But most of all, pay & benefits to to keep them happy & on the job. These Deputies are risking their lives every day. Meanwhile Animal Director Sonja Adams and Asst Animal Director Cson Johnson are making way too much money, $140,000 combined. Do the math, that could pay the salary of three Deputies. Again why do we need two of these ladies? We are the only county in Georgia with TWO Directors over 3 animal enforcement officers. They are costing our county MONEY!!!

HAVE I GOT YOUR ATTENTION MACON BIBB CO TAX PAYERS?

READ THE FOLLOWING

“Records from the Bibb Sheriff's Office show there are around 143 vacancies, up from an average of 56 for 2015. So far in 2019, the sheriff's office has lost 40 deputies and only recruited 24.

"There may be a time, if we follow this path, that we may not be able to do the job that we hope we can do," says Sheriff David Davis.

“He says the shortage is forcing more reactive than proactive policing, with deputies working double and sometimes triple shifts to keep up with calls.

"How long we can sustain that remains to be seen," he says. Davis says he is confident in his staff's ability to prioritize and respond to calls. He also says he would have enough resources to handle a major incident like a mass shooting, severe weather, or even a big event like a presidential visit. He fears, though, that his office would not have the ability to respond if anything else, big or small, happened at the same time.” Sheriff Davis

Please be the voice of those who cannot speak, the animals! Please support the Deputies, who fight street crime. Demand Change!

Ask these people, who are all ELECTED officials and ELECTED Sheriff to keep the Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare and The Bibb Co Sheriff’s Animal Enforcement Office SEPARATED! We do not want the Sheriff Department to take over the Macon Bibb Co Animal Welfare in Macon Ga.

❗️MCAS IS FULL❗️AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY❗️
MCAS IS REQUIRED TO ABIDE BY KENNELING AND CAPACITY LIMITATIONS PLACED UPON US BY STATE REGULATIONS.
We are halting all non-essential intakes until space opens through adoption/rescue. Essential intakes will require that we make space by other means.
If you are missing a dog, please come to MCAS to look for it. MCAS needs the kennel space badly. If you have a pet, we ask that you please keep it contained and restrained, and that you spay/neuter. If you don’t already have a pet or are considering adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting a dog from MCAS or fostering an MCAS dog for an animal rescue group.
