Photography With A Purpose - We partner with photographers around the country to showcase different animal shelters to help rescue animals find their forever homes! To do this, we partner with photographers around the country to showcase different animal shelters to help rescue animals find their forever homes. The photographers go in and do a professional shoot with all of the adoptable animals a

nd we then share those photos along with a story about each animal. The shelter also uses those photos to showcase each animal in the best light on their website and social media pages. This also allows us to connect with people around the country and share adoption stories and information that can help encourage more people to adopt and get more exposure for the amazing people that work day in and day out to make the world a better place for our furry friends!

There are many common misconceptions about dogs that end up in shelters.

Some think the dogs that end up in shelters have major behavior problems and can not be reliable behaviorally.

This isn’t always the case.

Many times animals are relinquished due to housing, death in the family, family emergencies, or financial strife.

Save an animal and ADOPT!

Thank you Eva Perrigo for this insight and thank you to Florence McCall Photography for this incredible photo of Domino!

Domino is currently available for adoption at the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter

Meet Patsy!

Patsy is a mellow, somewhat timid gal that has spent the majority of her life living on a ranch. She was allowed indoor/outdoor access, but would likely prefer to be mostly a house cat as she does not excel in the mouse-hunting field. She would love a nice lap to rest on and copious amounts of head scratches!

Patsy is currently available for adoption at the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter.

Miss Dottie is still available at the Animal Adoption Center and she would love to meet you!

Miss Dottie is such a gorgeous, loving, sweet, smart, snuggly dog. She does have some quirks that would require her to have a special home where she would be the only dog in the house. She does well socializing outside her home, but her anxiety seems to be causing issues with other dogs in her home. She loves kids, just not kids that are too little, as she is a bowling ball of love. She also finds cats just a little too appealing, so she needs a cat free home.

Thanks to Karissa at Après Events for taking this sweet photo!

20/02/2018

February is “Spay/Neuter Awareness Month”!

What can you do to help?

Encourage people to have their pets sterilized before the spring and summer months when there is a rampant overproduction of puppies and kittens.

The best time to fix your pet is by 4 months old to prevent accidental litters.

90% of animals entering shelters are NOT fixed.

Thank you for spaying/neutering your pets!

If everyone spayed and neutered, we would save 2.6 million dogs and cats from kill shelters each year.

Spay. Neuter. Adopt!

19/02/2018
