Hello pet parents! 🐾 We're excited to announce that we are offering a special discount in honor of the upcoming Dental Month at our veterinary hospitals.

Just like us, our pets need regular dental care to maintain overall health. Dental health is not just about fresh breath and shiny teeth - it's about preventing dental disease, which can affect their overall well-being.

Good oral hygiene can protect your pet's heart, liver, kidneys, and even extend their lifespan! So let's celebrate Dental Health month early and give our pets the dental care they deserve.

Today, we celebrate the people who make the world a better place for us all. Our veterinary teams.

It’s well documented and widely felt, that pets make our lives better. And it’s the people working tirelessly in our veterinary practices who make our pets better – literally. These dedicated and passionate people are among the most devoted to their profession. Their level of care and concern is unmatched. And they bring that passion into the hospitals every single day. Even and especially through the difficult moments, they maintain a level of professionalism that deserves recognition.

We would not be here without our incredible team members. We are grateful for every one. So, on this International Day of Veterinary Medicine, we want to take a special moment to say thank you for your hard work and dedication to the pets and their people in your care.

And for the pet parents who benefit from the care of our amazing team members, we hope you appreciate them too. And give a special thank you, next time you’re in to see them. Remember, every act of kindness counts. So, let's make the most of this day to show our vets some extra love!

, Here’s some news that will make even the Grinch’s heart grow bigger! SF based Loyal, a canine longevity startup, has been given approval to procced to large clinical trial with a prescription drug that could extend the lifespan of large breed dogs. Based on early studies, the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine has found a reasonable expectation of effectiveness for the drug, codenamed LOY-001. And we LOYVE it! While the results and final FDA approval are years off, this is something to bark about. We’ll keep you posted as progresses through the process. For now, let’s hear it for the big dogs and remember to love up our pups of all sizes!

As we prepare for the joy and abundance of Thanksgiving, let's remember to keep our furry friends safe and healthy! 🐾🍂

Certain holiday foods can pose significant risks to our pets. Turkey skin and stuffing are high in fats that can lead to pancreatitis in pets. Chocolate, a common treat during the holidays, is toxic to both cats and dogs. Macadamia nuts can cause severe symptoms including paralysis and vomiting. And remember, no amount of alcohol is safe for animals. 🍗🍫🥜🍷

Beyond food, consider the social environment. A house full of guests might be overwhelming for your pets. Ensure they have a quiet, comfortable space to retreat to if they feel anxious. If you're traveling with your pet, plan ahead for their health needs and familiarize yourself with any pet rules at your destination or with your airline. ✈️🏡

"🎃 Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃

On this spooktacular day, let's not forget about our adorable furry friends. While we're enjoying the tricks and treats, let's ensure our pets are safe and happy too.

Did you know that certain Halloween treats can be harmful to pets? Raisins, for instance, can cause kidney failure, while chocolate and xylitol found in candies can be toxic to them (source: AVMA). So, remember to keep your candy bowls out of their reach.

Our homes also undergo a transformation during Halloween, with decorations adding to the festive mood. But some of these can be dangerous to our pets. Therefore, it's best to introduce them to a safe room before decorating indoors (source: Humane Society).

It's also important to remember that costumes, while cute, should never compromise the comfort of our pets. Always choose a comfy costume, and never leave a pet unattended while they're dressed up (source: Dove Lewis).

Now, speaking of costumes... We'd love to see your pets in their Halloween best! Share a photo in the comments below and let's spread some Halloween cheer, one pet at a time. 🐾

Stay safe, stay spooky, and remember - Halloween is about creating moments of happiness, for us and our furry friends alike. 🧡💛"

31/10/2023

BOO! We hope you have a joyous Halloween! Remember to keep candy out of reach of pets and in secure containers. Sugary candy along with candy wrappers can be harmful on the digestive system and chocolate can be toxic.
