Good morning. I'm on the lookout for a mature male C. versicolor. My female molted 8 days ago and I'd like to have a fresh male to pair her in about a month so I'm putting the feelers out now. I would like to purchase the male outright.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and making the Puyallup Pacific Northwest Reptile and Exotic Animal Show one of our best shows ever. It had been long overdue and we missed all of our customers from the past and new. Thank you Jeff and all the PACNWRS staff for doing the hard work to put this event together with the limited notice to get it done.

Good morning all. We are packing up today to head north for the expo. I removed the link to the pinned price list. Most of the prices on the list are still valid however there are more species making the trip than what was included on the list and some prices have changed. We will have some nice females to choose from as well. Can't wait to see you all there. So glad we are able to attend expos again!

Question. Who would be interested in jumping spiders?

Specifically for now Phidippus regius-otiosus hybrids. These naturally occur in the wild as hybrids and for reference is called out in -

Volume 11 of REVISION OF THE JUMPING
SPIDERS OF THE GENUS
PHIDIPPUS
(ARANEAE: SALTICIDAE)
by
G. B. Edwards

Due to the adult size difference between the two species the full grown size of them can vary. I am currently not carrying them but if there is interest I will bring some in. Next will be Phidippus regius not hybrids. Your feedback will help us bring you even more of what you want and less of what you do not.

Some good news for Oregonians regarding ownership of tarantulas in Oregon. Recently there was a question posed regarding the legality of owning taratulas in Oregon. Specifically Oregon defines 5 species of tarantulas as allowed under the approved species list. That leaves hundreds of other species to question.

This information prompted me to go directly to the source which in Oregon is the Oregon Department of Agriculture - Insect Pest Prevention and Management. It was there that I connected with Joshua Vlach an Entomologist for the State of Oregon. We had a very good conversation which has paved the way for updating the approved species list to allow for all Theraphosids. The approved species list needs other unrelated revisions so it will take time to be updated and there will be an opportunity for public comment and I will be there when that time comes and I will also be letting everyone know when that time is so if you would like to lend your support you will have the opportunity to do so.

Patience it what is being asked for now because Joshua specifically stated that he is unfamiliar with rule changes during a pandemic. If you are wondering if the tarantulas you own now or are thinking about owning are legal to have the answer is yes. There is no enforcement staff and there is no known case ever where anyone was told by the ODA to get rid of or have confiscated a species not on the approved list. Right now its just a technicality which is being corrected.

Please understand that only the ODA has the broad power to approve or deny any living species in Oregon so it will not come from Fish and Wildlife or any other agency.

We will be updating our price list today and I will post here when its ready. Please note we do not do pre-sales on species we do not have in our possession. There will be some species on the list that will be coming in this week and won't be immediately available for purchase. Those will be marked with asterisks. I would expect those species to be available for curbside pickup anytime after we have received them. For shipping the earliest they would be available woukd be next week.
