Bonus points for spooky š» Ingredients: 1/2 cup Sweet Potato or pumpkin1/2 cup bone broth (chefs choice)1/4 tsp cinnamon3 tbsp honey2 tbsp gelatinHow to:1. Heat all ingredients in a small pot - do not let it boil.2. Add the gelatin and mix well with a whisk.3. Pipette or spoon into silicone mold.4. Refrigerate for 2 hours minimum! And enjoy!!! It made 3 molds full so I have lots. My dogs and cats are LOVING these. I stored them in the fridge in a *not plastic* container and will feed them throughout the week. Even if you maybe never asked us this, hereās what thatās all about.
That white substance is fat! Bone broth naturally has fat in it which is healthy and easily used in the body so I wouldnāt shy from feeding it to your dog or cat.
Hereās how it ends up in our bottles from time to time: During the cooking process, the fat released from the bones rises to the top of the pot. As I bottle everything and the pot empties, there is sometimes some fat that is filled into the bottles. Once I see the fat bubbles, I stop filling and move to the next pot.
I pick out any bottles that have excessive fat and feed them to my dogs and cats, but most of them are perfectly fine to ship to you.
So long story short, it is just fat that will harden when cooled in the fridge or freezer. So when you get the broth out, there may be some white bubbles and globules and that is totally normal! š§
