I started this business to help dogs and cats live healthier lives but what I found instead is so much more 🥹

Owning a business is majorly rewarding but also so overwhelming, stressful, frustrating and often feels like you don’t know where to turn. It can feel so lonely and like you can’t do it as good as everyone else. All while@trying to keep up with that never ending pile of laundry, cooking healthy, balanced meals and showing up 100% for your partner, dogs or kids!

What I learned in the last 6 years though is that I am never alone. There are so many inspirational women who are right there to catch one another, to listen, motivate and grow right there along with you.

To all you incredible powerhouse women who inspire, get up and do it even when it feels impossible, and continue to push forward: THANK YOU for modeling that it’s okay to not always have it all together. You matter and I love you!

Did you know? Kitties NEED hydrated meals more than dogs! 🐱

Being obligate carnivores, cats are biologically designed to consume prey which is usually around 75% water. Their bodies are much more sensitive to dry food and lack of moisture.

An easy way to start implementing more moisture is by adding bone broth. They will enjoy the taste which also benefitting from the nutrient richness, healing properties and ultimate hydration.

Simply add it to whatever you feed to create a boosted bowl that has healing powers! 🍖

This is what our production and bottles looked like 5 YEARS AGO! 🤯

It’s so easy to forget how far you’ve come and how you’ve evolved. Just yesterday I talked to my friend, who has a delicious olive oil company () just a couple years younger than Crude, about how you just want to get to where you just LOVE looking at your labels and branding and we were laughing about our original looks and how different and to us almost weird they are.

As I have redesigned our look just recently and am working on her branding, we notice that there is not a phase of our bottles and labels we didn’t love in the moment, it’s just that you evolve and get to where you don’t see how you can make any more changes (for now 🙃)

You just have to start and remember you can always evolve as you put your product or service into the world. 🤎

WHAT A YEAR 🥹

It’s kind of bittersweet leaving it behind because so many special things happened from making beautiful new friendships, enjoying events with experts in the industry, featuring our broth at SuperZoo, getting our first distributor and reaching more bowls than ever before.

I felt kind of silly posting this recap because it seems so tiny compared to others. I struggle with imposter syndrome and feeling like I’m not as far ahead as I should be BUT then I remember that that is why you love us and our brand.

We had the opportunity to support incredible small family farms who have really gone above and beyond for us, we’ve worked with over 250 retailers who stocked our broth, sold over twenty thousand bottles and shipped a few thousand orders to your door and to stores.

We can’t believe how much we’ve grown and are so excited for the new year - WITH YOU! 🥹

You may be wondering: why do I need this bowl?

Well, first of all - you don’t NEED this bowl. It is a fun way to change up your dog or cats eating experience.

1. It can slow them down without the discomfort of a deep, hard plastic bowl.

2. They work as an enrichment activity making it mind stimulating which is great for bore down. Try freezing our broth in them for longer last lick fun.

3. Dogs and cats prefer a flatter eating surface as it is more instinctual and like it would be in nature!!

Tasty gummy recipe for your pups (and kitties) feat. bone broth 😋You just need a few ingredients, some heat and a cute mold. Bonus points for spooky 👻 Ingredients: 1/2 cup Sweet Potato or pumpkin1/2 cup bone broth (chefs choice)1/4 tsp cinnamon3 tbsp honey2 tbsp gelatinHow to:1. Heat all ingredients in a small pot - do not let it boil.2. Add the gelatin and mix well with a whisk.3. Pipette or spoon into silicone mold.4. Refrigerate for 2 hours minimum! And enjoy!!! It made 3 molds full so I have lots. My dogs and cats are LOVING these. I stored them in the fridge in a *not plastic* container and will feed them throughout the week. I have the gelatin I use and the molds in my Amazon shop - link in the bio! Let me know if you make them. Not your average broth packaging 😏 Our glass bottles are perfect for repurposing and one of my favorite ways to do this is using them in bathrooms and the kitchen for soap or lotion. This is why we carry the dispenser tops in our online shop - it makes it so easy for you to put them to use even after you’re done with our broth. Important: DO NOT use these dispensers for bone broth. They are not cleanable and will grow bacteria and even mold. Answering a frequently asked question❓ Even if you maybe never asked us this, here’s what that’s all about. That white substance is fat! Bone broth naturally has fat in it which is healthy and easily used in the body so I wouldn’t shy from feeding it to your dog or cat. Here’s how it ends up in our bottles from time to time: During the cooking process, the fat released from the bones rises to the top of the pot. As I bottle everything and the pot empties, there is sometimes some fat that is filled into the bottles. Once I see the fat bubbles, I stop filling and move to the next pot. I pick out any bottles that have excessive fat and feed them to my dogs and cats, but most of them are perfectly fine to ship to you. So long story short, it is just fat that will harden when cooled in the fridge or freezer. Pet parents and just humans in general are spending their dollars on products that look to be healing for them and their dogs, they believe they are doing to most, and sadly this scenario happens way to often. *I mean just look at kibble packaging - all the fresh meat and veg advertised but it’s really just corn and food coloring*There are companies who truly care about what goes in your pet’s body, about how they source their ingredients and with all the misinformation out there it is on us pet parents to do our research, get educated and make better choices! When it comes to mushrooms, the healing power is in what’s called the fruiting body. It is the actual mushroom part we know and love, that you can see. A rice mash with one measly mushroom mixed in will have little to no benefits to your dog or cat, rather the opposite. Always read your ingredient lists and if there is anything that seems off, look into it.
