Butch Pet Foods USA, formally Juniper Distributing, was formed in December of 2016 by Dan Record with the driving passion to provide an affordable, clean, and easy to use moisture rich pet food for both dogs and cats. In 2013, Dan and his family moved to the United Arab Emirates for work. It was in Ras Al Khaima that Dan met his neighbors Jeff and Angela Roby. The Roby family owns and operates But

They sell over 6 million pet food rolls annually throughout New Zealand and they export to the Pacific, Asia, and the Middle East. Fed up with dry kibble and all of its negative health consequences, Dan switched his 8 year old Rottweiler, Ben, to Butch Black Label. Between the oppressive 118* F summer heat of the United Arab Emirates and the dry Kibble he was buying, Ben had developed skin issues, allergies, and terrible breath. After one month on Butch, the transformation was amazing: a clean, smooth coat, no further skin allergies, and much better breath! Dan was convinced of the positive value of semi-moist Butch pet food. As Dan and his family's time in the UAE came to an end, Jeff and Dan began discussing the potential importation of Butch into the USA.

The world-wide pandemic forced a lot of change on individuals, businesses and the world at large. For Butch Pet Foods, USA, challenges and costs associated with international shipping became a big reason we had to close our doors. Shipping refrigerated and perishable products across the world at a time when scheduling, tracking, and cost all sky rocketed became unrealistic. We always strove to keep our prices as low as possible to provide you our customers access to the highest quality food for your furry family members; Covid and the world-wide pandemic made that very difficult.

However, things are stabilizing. International shipping logistics are working themselves out and pricing is beginning to return to some normalcy. With that in mind, we are starting to explore the possibility of resuming Butch Pet Foods sales in the US.
