It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Laurie McColl.

Laurie was a cherished member of our team, dedicating her life to saving animals and making a significant impact on our organization and the broader community. Her passion, dedication, and kindness touched the lives of countless animals and people alike. Laurie was instrumental in the dream and building of Urgent Pet Care, and moving forward without her is difficult to imagine. Knowing how genuinely excited she was to be a part of the process from the beginning was a tremendous honor, and I will be forever grateful.

Laurie was known for her unwavering commitment to animal welfare, her compassionate nature, and her remarkable humor. Her contributions to our cause were immense, and her legacy will continue to inspire us all.

We understand that this news is difficult to process. To honor Laurie's memory and support each other during this time, we ask that you please take a moment to tell your friends and family how much they mean to you. If you would like to donate, please reach out, and I will make sure you are directed to donate as the family wishes.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Laurie's family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We need your help.

We are not kidding when we say our shelves are bare. As of right now, we have 52 cats in our adoption program, with most of them being very hungry and demanding kittens, like tiny but mighty Washington here. It's just not enough.

Our amazing fosters are already donating their time, energy, and hard work to give these cats and kittens the best homes possible while they await adoption. We are in DESPERATE need of the cat and kitten food (especially kitten food) to help them make this possible.
