Beware of counterfeit pet medications! These products can be ineffective or even toxic, putting your pet at serious risk. Commonly counterfeited medications include heartworm preventatives and flea and tick preventatives. Always check that medications have FDA or EPA approval, directions in English, child-resistant packaging, the correct weight/dose for your pet, and original, untampered packaging. Avoid products with stickers covering the labels or foreign-language packaging. The safest way to protect your pet is to purchase medications directly from your veterinarian or a trusted, licensed pharmacy. 🐾💊

When your pet is uncomfortable or injured, even short trips can be stressful. Here’s how to keep them safe and comfortable during transport:

Tips:
- Use a sturdy carrier or crate – add a soft blanket to cushion their body.
- Support mobility issues – for pets who can’t walk easily, use a small ramp, stretcher, or slings
- Limit movement – secure the carrier in the car to prevent sliding or tipping.
- Stay calm and gentle – speak softly and move slowly to avoid startling them.
- Temperature & comfort – keep the car warm for arthritic pets or cool if they’re overheated.
- Ask for help – an extra person can make lifting and settling your pet safer.

Remember: If your pet is in severe pain or can’t move safely, always call ahead. We can guide you and prepare for a smooth, safe arrival. ❤️
