Meet Our Team!

Hillary (she/her) is the Senior Manager for our Berkeley/ Oakland team servicing the Berkeley, Oakland/Emeryville, Albany, Kensington, and El Cerrito Areas.

She was raised and born in Oakland, and still resides in the Bay Area. She is seen here with her fur baby, Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash (haha, not really, he's lazy)!

In her free time she enjoys video games and reading books. She also loves hiking and being outdoors, and even more in the company of furry friends!

She has been working with cats and dogs as a pet sitter for over 7 years, many of whom were delicate and old of age. When a pet needs them she will be there, treating all pets like her own and ready to care for those most in need 😀

Hi, I’m Nancy! (she/her)

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and all my life I have been surrounded by animals, from fishes, birds, and hamsters, to Guinea pigs, rabbits, and chickens! I am a full time animal lover and I’m passionate for their care and happiness. I believe that all living beings deserve to live life full of love and I’m more than happy to provide it for your babies.

My puppy’s name is Sasuke (“Saskay”)! He is a very happy, excited, hyperactive 7-month-old Border Collie mix. He is the light of our lives, my husband and I.

I’m excited to be on the Rebecca Marlin Pet Care team and I look forward to providing the same love and care to your babies as well!

Say hello to the Squash girls: 2-yr-old twin guinea pig sisters, Summer and Butternut! 😍

Summer (tri-color, left) is a little bit shy and more likely to be hiding or lounging under the ramps and fleece pads.

Butternut (orange, right) can be a little afraid of new things, too, but is more social and likes to sleep in the loft area.

And we have been so happy to meet them! 🥰

I am beginning to suspect someone told the pet sitters to be careful with doors and windows around me. They seem to know I’m both quick and curious and also how much I love string and fishing toys.

Archie is a super friendly, grey, tabby! He is an only cat and prefers it that way, getting all the attention for himself 🐈👑

He loves to play with string, pipe cleaners, and ribbons and has a great window for watching birds, too. 🐦🐦🐦

He does not enjoy being picked up for very long and is not fond of fireworks or the ceiling fan – those are scary! 😿

Sleeping is also one of his favorite hobbies and he can be found in closets, behind clothes, under shelves, and in blanket and pillow forts on the bed 😻

Meet our team!

Ariann (she/her) is a pet sitter serving the Berkeley and Oakland areas.

She was born and raised in the Bay Area and grew up caring for all sorts of animals from hamsters and bearded dragons to chickens and cows. Pet walking/sitting was her first job as a young person and she’s thrilled to be continuing to care for animals even now!

She has a senior mutt named Blackie and two crazy Chihuahua boys, Chapulín (Chappie) and Nugget.

She also has a passion for caring for babies of all species, and has a background teaching preschool and nannying. In her free time she loves art/design, thrifting, and writing.

She is pictured here with one of our clients, Juneau, and just like him we are so glad to have her on the team!

Busta is a friendly, chatty, male, tabby! 😻

He is loving, playful, and enjoys chasing laser lights and feathers on a string. He is also very helpful, as seen here, and gives us advice while preparing his food. 😸

In addition to his meds, Busta has a special diet so we make sure he and his sister, Mazzy, eat in separate locations and don’t share food. That way everyone is safe, healthy, and happy! 😺

Mazzy Star is a nearly 5-month-old English Chocolate Lab so this is her first holiday! 🐶⭐

Her mama says she loves pixy and bully sticks, peanut butter stuffed in her kongs, and playing rope tug-of-war. ❤️

Every month, RMPC donates 10% of profits to a local organization working in our communities. For April, and in honor of Earth Day, we are glad to support Groundwork Richmond!

Groundwork Richmond aims to bring about the sustained regeneration, improvement, and management of the physical environment by developing community-based partnerships which empower people, businesses and organizations to promote environmental, economic and social well-being.

This includes several objectives: increasing the capacity of communities to improve and care for their local environment; reclaiming vacant and derelict lands for conservation, recreation, and economic development; engaging businesses, government, non-profits and communities to work together in environmental improvement projects; helping alleviate poverty by providing opportunities for youth to engage in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) related projects, internships, job opportunities and career & college track programs.

To celebrate Earth Day they’re hosting a gathering on Saturday, April 23rd, from 10a – 2p at Unity Park Community Plaza in Richmond.

All are invited to attend and participate in fun and free activities for the entire family. These include mural painting, planting flower gardens, beautifying the playground, a petting zoo, building free fruit tree stands for the edible forest, watershed swale planting and weeding, free screen printing and much more!

You may have heard it called the Cone of Shame, the Lampshade, or the Radar Dish, but its original name is an “Elizabethan-collar.”

These medical devices, shaped like a truncated cone, prevent the animal from biting, licking, or irritating its body and scratching at its head or neck, especially after a surgery, infection, or to prevent the ingestion of topical medications.

Some animals can be allergic to the plastic used in the collars. Alternatives include inflatable, padded, and soft fabric collars, that come in a variety of sizes for many types of animals, including bunnies, guinea pigs, and birds!

Patented by inventor Frank L. Johnson in 1959, he devised it by taking a thin sheet of plastic, wrapping it around a dog's neck, and tying it gently in place. And due to its appearance being like ruffs from the Elizabethan era, and perhaps his affinity for the crown, he named it after Queen Elizabeth I.

So next time your pet needs an e-collar, be reminded that they are royalty!

And maybe give them an extra treat or two :)

"My name is Donut!" 🍩

"I'm a Seal Point Ragdoll and, in addition to these beautiful markings and being a real sweetheart, I get to see the world through these big, blue, eyes!" 😻

Donut is generally quiet and prefers to eat alone in the kitchen (which also prevents his brothers Yoshi and Mijo from stealing food).

But he can also be quite playful and loves chasing things attached to wands. 😸
