Sometimes it seems as though a dog will never get the hang of what we are trying to get it to do. But this is where technique comes in – and patience, lots of it. But both you and your dog will have much happier lives once he understands what you want.

It’s not about “bossing” because dogs are happy that you are in charge - what they hate is uncertainty. And you see this sometimes with dog owners who are not firm enough with their commands, or where too many different family members are giving commands (sometimes conflicting ones!). As you look through our training material never forget that your dog wants nothing more than to please you – and if he is proving “hard to train” it might be time to look at how you are going about it – hence this page and website’s reason for existing. As well as sharing some heart-warming images :)
