At 6:45 this evening, El Guapo, the Most Interesting Cat in the World passed away. He was fifteen years and two months old, and was fabulous until the very end. Now he is the Most Interesting Cat in Heaven.

Arthur P. Dietrich, Feral Cat, is out of surgery and very much under the influence of happy drugs. He is neutered and vaccinated, and has had his flea bites and an abcess treated. He returns to El Guapo’s humans Wednesday night. YAY!!!

Meet a new friend. El Guapo’s new “outdoor brother” is Arthur P. Dietrich, Feral Cat. Dietrich is kind of old and creaky and flea-bitten, and he’s not neutered. He showed up at El Guapo’s back door several weeks ago and Human Woman has given him breakfast and dinner every day.

Island Cat Resources and Adoption [ICRA] will be helping Human Woman humanely trap and transport him to a vet for neutering/flea treatment/basic medical care next week, because they’re awesome. El Guapo and Purrvis are both former ICRA rescues as well!

El Guapo, Opera Cat.

Happy ! This week, we feature El Guapo in his magical unicorn horn. He is a thirteen-year-old, seventeen-pound American shorthair tabby. He was rescued as a kitten by Island Cat Resources and Adoption and makes his home in Oakland with Merola’s Donor Relations & Events Manager, Amy Kessler, her husband Merle, and "some other cat whom he barely notices." El Guapo enjoys bacon, wearing shirts, and taking walks outside on his leash. He dislikes taking his hyperthyroid medication, the smell of citrus fruit, and anything that takes Amy’s attention away from him. Thanks for keeping the world an interesting place, El Guapo, the Most Interesting Cat in the World!
