Tonight I decided that I just had to try to sit on Tw***ie. We didn't have a camera in the barn,when I first tried to just lean over him and partially sit on him. He did so well while he was eating hay, just checked out my leg. Denny went to get his phone to take some pics and Tw***ie was more interested in checking out what he was doing. Oh how I love him!!

Tw***ie had an adventure today! He was led while I rode the ranger to the back of the property ( a first!), went thru a creek (another first), experienced his first vision of a train which kinda freaked him out ( another first), but he got thru it and then enjoyed a few bites of new grass. I cannot tell you how awesome this boy is💜❤💜

More round pen work with Tw***ie today. He is always very inquisitive and has a slow relaxed unhurried way about him. Summer, our pet caretaker, does a fabulous job with him. Don't want to wish his life away, but can't wait til he is old enough to ride.

In case you didn't know- Tw***ie has a darkened patch on his right side that is shaped like a heart💜 and another small spot on his left hip. That is one of the reasons our farm is called Hearts Desire.

Tw***ie is 8 months today! He is 13 hands and 510lbs! Seems like he has grown a foot since Friday! My brother in law, Ed Dillehay, made this for me and Tw***ie- a wall hanging!

Tw***ie had his second hoof trim today! He was a good boy! Amazing how much he is growing, especially when comparing his first and second hoof trimmings( the first has shrunk a little).

Happy 6 month birthday to Tw***ie! He is 11.3 hands and 380lbs. He has mastered touching all over, haltering, tarp walking, hoof picking, leading(most of the time) and coming when called ( most of the time). He has a stubborn streak! He loves to be brushed and scratching behind his ears. He is curious and has little fear, except of small pieces of paper and the measuring tape. He has stolen my heart!!

Tw***ie is 5 months today! He weighs 318lbs and is 11.1 hands! He is definitely growing.

Tw***ie had his first trim today! He did wonderful. Our farrier, Alex, is the best! I have been picking up his feet, tapping and picking over the past week. I am so proud of my boy!!! He is pretty amazing at almost 5 months!
