This morning was one of the hardest goodbyes I have had to do. Franky spent most of his life in rescue. He came to us August 8, 2017. Severly emaciated, thyroid issues and heartworm positive. He was an amazing dog, a truly great ambassador for his breed. 2662 days in rescue, I wish I had another thousand or more with him. Rest easy sweet boy you are so loved and missed already.

Today's featured alumni is Waylon! When he was surrendered to us, he was covered in fleas, his hair was matted, and he needed some vet care. Flash forward to today, and he's living his best life with his two sisters! Waylon is a great babysitter to his little sister. From his mom, " He follows me around the house everywhere I go and loves to check on our baby. He walks over to her bassinet and peeps over in it when she’s laying in it!"

Over a year ago, someone reached out about a dog living in the woods behind the bank in Guntown. Little did we know, he was completely blind and has a little hearing loss. We set out looking and weren't able to find him. Thankfully he found his way to a nice couples home and their flower bed. We have no idea how he made it there, or where he came from. They were able to hold him until we got there. He is such a smart boy, so it took him no time to learn the layout of his foster’s home despite his sensory challenges. Flash forward to today, and he arrived at his forever home. We are so grateful and overjoyed. ❤️🥰

Today we're featuring Billy! He was adopted in 2019. Billy says, "Always give your owner lots of kisses and you can go on as many car rides as you want. That's my favorite thing to do."
His owner, Traci Durham Sutton says: "I say Billy is the best dog ever! He is also the best snuggle buddy. I don't know who needed who more. I don't know remember what life was like without my Billy ❤️"

🐾 Today we're featuring our alumni Penny! Penny is a beagle girl that was dumped on a dirt road, in the middle of nowhere. She was adopted this summer and is living her best life with her beagle sister! If Penny could give any advice to a current Jericho resident.. she'd say "Always look cute and give LOTS of kisses!"❤️

Does anyone remember sweet shy Cobby? Look at him now! He is slowly learning to trust that not all people are evil. Today he enjoyed his pup cup and is working hard in the office chasing treats from desk to desk.

Heartwarming ALUMNI POST! ❤️

Today, on Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served. We’re especially thankful for one special veteran who gave Gertie, a long-time Jericho Rescued Fur Babies resident, the loving home she had been waiting for. Gertie waited years to find her forever family, and now she’s living her best life—spoiled with homemade meals from her very own crockpot and claiming the couch cushions as her throne. Thank you to all veterans, and a special thank you to Gertie’s hero for giving her the life she deserves. Happy Veterans Day!

November is all about gratitude. This month, we are featuring our "alumni" as a way to say thank you to our supporters for helping us all make a difference.

Today we are featuring one of our alumni, Jessie! Jessie was thrown by some terrible human from a moving vehicle into Veterinary Hospital 's parking lot. She was injured from the impact. She was scared and hard to connect with for a while.

Fast forward, with some time to heal and a lot of love, she's doing great!

From her mom: "I love my little golden warrior! 💛 I love her infectious joy.... I love how her ear feathers crinkle in the rain. I love her sense of adventure, and her belief that one of these days she will really be able to fly with the seagulls she loves so much! In Jessie’s eyes everything is possible! Shouldn’t we all be so lucky to believe that about ourselves?

I’m so grateful for everyone who played a part in Jessie’s journey to find home. The doctors and staff at Baldwyn Veterinarian Hospital. Miss Annette and Miss Maddie! Jessie and I love and appreciate you both so very much! And, Mr Jeffrey, who made the very long drive to safely bring her home. Words could never convey the gratitude our hearts feel for all of you. 💛 "

"For the past eight months, Nelly Dogg has been a beloved part of our family! Her playful spirit and love for snuggles make her a joy to be around. She adores her ball and lamb toy, belly rubs, and especially her visits to Blissful Bean for a pup cup. Regular trips to Bubbles and Barks keep her groomed and social, and her favorite treats are Greenies, ice cubes, and car rides."
