The first time I went to the shelter when looking to adopt.

I was only there for a few minutes, and didn’t really pay much attention to any of the cats. I was just there to find out if I could adopt, and the procedure id have to follow. I came back another day to kitty select.

It wasn’t until long after I adopted Anya, when I was going through old photos, that I realized that she was the sweet kitty who photobombed me on day one while I attempted to take a photo of the kitties in their cage.

I was standing a foot away from the cage. She came over and stood there rubbing her neck on the cage, sending me affection through the fence.

I think she had chosen her human.

Baby had dental surgery done yesterday, to remove an infected tooth and do some cleaning up. She apparently has severe periodontal disease from the years of neglect during her feral and shelter days.

She's recovering now, and being a clingy baby.

Anya and her grandmum on their morning walk along the corridor outside our flat. She likes to go out to sniff the neighbors shoes and the various stains along the walls.

I've been ill of late, and Anya is taking full advantage of my being down, to solicit ALL the cuddles. Either that, or she's nursing me. I suspect it's the former.
