We believe every Sheltie deserves a loving home with caring humans & an accessible couch!

Well said Will - these are things I consider with every Sheltie I place.

What a beautiful reunion!!

Jojo has struggled a little with being an only Sheltie, so we’ve reunited him with his previous house mate, 12 yr old blue girl, Cloud.

Cloudy was surrendered to the Club with Jojo at the end of February & both needed some physical rehab.

The foster carers decided to keep Cloud as she had lived with them before (showing/ breeding). It seemed the best for her, less stress in a new home & with her skin / thyroid issues, she would not be so easy to place at her age.

But methinks Jojo is very happy that they let her go to come live with him! 🥰

🐾 Jojo 🐾

This senior tricolour gentleman was surrendered a month ago to the Club because of his owner’s health & advancing dementia.

He’s actually from the same kennel as RSPCA rescues Blue Shmoo, Trendy (now Teddy), Ellie & Keegan. He also happens to be Keegan’s son & looks just like him!

Jojo was fostered by my breeder friends in the Blue Mountains who also groomed him & took care of his vet visits since I’m laid up with a broken ankle. THANK YOU Lorraine & Russell Thurling for helping us out! 🤗

Today, Jojo was adopted by Bob & Tara, who lost our beloved Deli in December. They were not sure if they were ready… well, Tara wasn’t. Bob was very ready! But once they saw him, it was a done deal!

At 9.5 yrs old, Jojo was severely underweight & had terrible teeth - he had a dental when he was castrated 2 weeks ago & has already gained almost 2 kg. Otherwise, he appears very healthy & does not look or act his age.

All the best sweet Jojo - Bob is already smitten & will relish the job of fattening you up!

🎄Merry Christmas 🌟

It’s a little late but the busyness of the season & recent loss was a lot.

So here to cheer in the new year is Master Jasper with his new family, all official with Santa photo! It should come as no surprise that his trial period is over & he passed!

Passed? Tyla says it feels like he’s always been a part of their family! He is completely in love with her & she adores him, especially how affectionate he is; right on top of her is his favourite spot.

Jass is responding to her training wonderfully & the 3 ‘collie’ siblings are only becoming firmer friends. Keitta has taken a particular shine to him.

🐾VALE DELI💔

Born - 17/2/2014
Captured - 28/1/2016
Adopted - 27/2/2016
RIP - 11/12/2025

It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of our Hillswick poster girl – “Deli the Sheltie lost in Baulkham Hills“ 💫

Two weeks ago, Deli suffered a massive heart attack overnight in emergency hospital following a tragic accident. It still feels unreal that she is gone 💔

In true Deli fashion, she died as she lived: Dramatically & drastically.

Her humans, Tara & Bob, are quite naturally bereft at losing her so suddenly. Literally days before, Tara text me “I can’t imagine a world without Deli… She’s a force of nature” - a dog with such impact leaves a bloody big hole.

You may have met them at a Sydney fluffybutts gathering. But did you realise this scrappy adventurer, Deli the Rockstar, galvanised a community?

Deli’s 2016 bolt for freedom & incredible 15-day escapade —regularly traversing a major intersection & sustained on KFC garbage— brought the Sheltie lovers of greater Sydney together.

Breeders, sports & pet people all rallied to find her, organising posters, walking the streets, formulating plans, setting traps, etc & then after a 5-hr backyard ‘siege’, Deli was secured. It was all remarkable, as was she.

Deli was blessed with almost 10 years beloved by Tara & Bob & during that time she continued to temp fate. We thought her invincible. She certainly was obstreperous & we loved her for it.

She shared 6 of those years with fellow rescue Sheltie, Pepper, a beautiful, gentle blue who really grounded our wayward girl. Dell also shared her home with feral feline rescues, Fae, who worshipped her Sheltie sovereign, & Minerva who barely tolerated her.

Deli also changed my life: The mission to find her lead me to my position as rescue officer of the NSW Sheltie Club & her new family became my good friends. “Belly” continued to visit us for holidays & grooming… delighting my father with her antics, not.

Usually I would write RIP, but for this exceptional canine I say, fly high Deli-belle, roll in cosmic p**p & bark at the stars. 🌈🐾

🐾 JASPER UPDATE 🐾

We got a wonderful 3-day update, multiple videos & photos 😁 All playing well, sharing well, making good decisions. This was my favourite…

Love seeing that Jass has buddies to play tug-o-war with now, but that when he ‘lost’ that battle, he started his own new game! 😆 He loves that hammer.

Receiving this put the biggest smile on my face!

🐾 JASPER UPDATE 🐾
Look at this wonderful video we got from Tyla! They arrived safely & Jass made himself right at home, playing up a storm with Keitta & Meeko.
This is why we do it 🥰

🐾 JASPER UPDATE 🐾

He’s on his way! Our meet ‘n’ greet could not have gone any better! ☺️

We romped for an hour at the cemetery then back to mine where fun continued with his new friends (see comments for video).

Jass now has fantastic home with Tyla & her collie kids, Keitta the Sheltie & Meeko the Collie Rough - they do herding, lure-coursing, obedience & plan to start agility.

I got all the right vibes starting with Tyla‘s email - He will go to work with her each day at the racecourse & have a big off lead run when she finishes. And share many other adventures I’m sure!

Jasper played enthusiastically with both the dogs, helped Tyla sign all the paperwork & readily jumped in the car, which always seals the deal for me…

There were tears & we will miss him (well Biggs will, cats not so much 😂) but I’m confident he’s going to be completely happy & that makes it worth all the happy/sad tears.

Good luck you big beautiful do**us!
😍🙏🏼❤️

🐾JASPER UPDATE🐾

Tomorrow is the big day! Jass is all bathed, groomed & trimmed in readiness!

We meet at the cemetery for a walk in the morning to properly introduce the big boy to his -hopefully- new buddies.

They are in transit, all the way from Melbourne, up in their custom dog box after a big run before departure.
