HELP LADYBIRD!!!

We are desperately in search of a foster for this sweet girl - even if it’s just for a week or two. Ladybird is the PERFECT house guest and loves laying on a comfy bed. She is determined and already walking without support!

We posted a few weeks ago about poor Ladybird suffering from arthritis, but unfortunately things took a turn for the worst this week and she needed emergency ACL surgery. This girl has really been through it. Thankfully this surgery is pretty standard, but the recovery and re-learning how to walk is tough to do in boarding. She had an amazing short term foster to get her through the weekend and the storm but today is her LAST day at her temp foster and it’s the FIRST day she’s picked up a toy! Please consider fostering her or share with your friends to find her a short-term foster.

Ladybird is a survivor and because of that, she does need to be the only dog, but she loves every human she meets.

Introducing the BEAUTIFUL Dolly (Parton)! A Good Samaritan found this sweet girl hanging around the house that they had never seen her before. She was super skittish and they spent the next few days gaining her trust and giving her some food. After talking with some neighbors, they found out she had been seen on various cameras in the area for the past YEAR living on her own in the woods and scavenging.

She has completely transformed into a loving and super appreciative house guest. She’s estimated to be about 7-8 years old and getting up to a healthy weight, probably will be around 45-50lbs once fully healthy. She is heartworm positive, but this is not anything to be concerned with! With monthly preventatives, we are certain she will be HW- in no time. She is in overall in great health considering her age and history.

She’s been amazing with her foster family of kids and two other dogs. She’s definitely cautions as she’s learning to trust again, but has not once been defensive.

Here’s a happy tail for your Tuesday!!! We are so thrilled to share that Deacon landed the most incredible forever home 💙🥹 this boy waited patiently for YEARS, coming to us horribly injured from an act of human violence, he learned to trust and love again as he was nursed back to health. We are so beyond thankful to the amazing family who took a chance on Deacon and gave him a chance to truly thrive. Now he struts around his neighborhood for several walks a day, loves playing with his new toys, and cuddling up for a nap on the furniture. PUPPIES PUPPIES PUPPIES!!!! Bailey’s pups are almost 6 weeks old!! In 2 weeks they will get their first rounds of shots and will be looking for foster or forever homes 👀💙🩷 their personalities are starting to come out and they are getting more and more playful and independent from mom each day. We aren’t 100% sure what breed they are but we know their momma is a petite lab mix, just about 30lbs. We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow! The first five pups are boys- Hunter, Ritchie, Voss, Craig, and Nick. The last pic is the only girl and runt of the litter, Mac! This poor sweet girl could really use a foster!!!! It is so sad to see her aging in boarding and her arthritis getting worse.
Ladybird is probably around 6-8 years old, we have started her on Gabapentin and carprofen to help with achy joints but what would help the most would be to be in a home, to be able to move around and walk around a yard or go for a walk. Ladybird is pretty low-key with spurts of energy but not much. She is up to date on vaccines and is spayed and microchipped. 🐾🩷

Unfortunately she does need to be an only pet, but she loves all people. But as her foster we can provide you with everything you need for her, crate, bed, meds. All vet care is covered by Scout’s Honor Rescue

Can you foster or even better adopt this beautiful girl? She, and all of us at Scout’s Honor Rescue, would be so grateful. She deserves real love, a real home and a real family, no mater how big or small

Introducing Gracie and Sweet Pea! When we saw that these two sweet seniors were at risk of euthanasia after their owner passed away, we had to get them out as soon as possible. Gracie and Sweet Pea are an adorable, sweet, and calm pair of dogs. They are great with kids and other dogs and they are in search of a foster or forever home, hopefully together 💚 we found out that heartbreakingly, Gracie and Sweet Pea were left abandoned in their home after their owner passed away for about a month until they were found by Harris County. We don’t know how much these two sweet dogs have been through in their lives, but we are so happy to give them another chance at life. Please consider opening your home to foster this adorable pair, but if you cannot, you can donate to their boarding and vetting the following ways:

Please spread the word for this lost dog. Isabella was LOST on December 31, 2024 in Houston, TX 77006 near Westheimer and Montrose but could be anywhere on Westheimer as far out as Beltway based on fraud charges to card or really anywhere

Gracie is an 8 year old black and white Pit Bull Terrier mix and Sweet Pea is a neutered, 7 year old black and brown Labrador Retriever mix. They have already had to endure so much heartbreak as their owner passed away recently and they were removed from their home and taken to a noisy, scary shelter. According to volunteers at Harris County, Gracie and Sweet Pea are super friendly, smart (they know “sit”, “sit up”, and how to beg for food), and they are loving ❤️ & affectionate 🥰 sweethearts💞 who just want to live out their “Golden Years” happily and together…

Ziggy is the cutest, happiest boy! Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan who saw him get thrown out of a truck! Can you imagine that that is what someone thought to do?!?!

Ziggy LOVES hugs, he desperately wants to feel safe and loved, and then go run around and play fetch and come back for more hugs! Love this boy!!!

Look at his adorable “widow’s peak“ hairdo. And those EARS!!!! What great ears he has.
