Hello, my name is Helen, owner and solo groomer at Purrfect Paws small animal grooming. Purrfect Paws was founded in 2009 after a love for all animals led me into the animal grooming industry. I have a huge passion for animal welfare, which is why welfare is at the heart of my business ethics and services. I have over 12 yrs experience within the grooming industry, as well as many years experience

in pet care as both a pet owner and pet professional. I currently hold a higher national diploma in animal management to distinction level which included modules on:
Animal Health and Welfare
Animal Behaviour and Training
Animal Nutrition
Animal Ethics and Legislation
In addition, I have recently completed a CPD certification in Feline/Canine health and first aid training, along side a CPD certificate in feline behaviour in the grooming environment. Purrfect Paws offers a welfare based, one to one grooming service which focuses on the individual needs your pet. This means using a non forceful approach to grooming methods, and adjusting each booked session to the individual requirements and telos of the animal. I will never force or inflict distress on any animal in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing look. However, I will work with your pet to ensure their grooming requirements are fulfilled without compromising their welfare. Sweet senior lady Mitzy popped along to see me this afternoon for a grooming session. As a senior girlie Mitzy is not as good as she once was at keeping her coat in order, and unfortunately had gained several areas of tight matting that needed to be gently clipped away from her under carriage and hygiene area, Mitzy also benefited from a good comb through of her remaining coat to remove a few clumpy areas of dead coat.
Mitzy was such a super sweet kitty, and was so good having all her matts removed this afternoon!.
Well done sweetheart, it was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely mum today ☺️😘
