We are hiring 😀
Friendly and Reliable Dog Walking & Pet Sitting for parts of the San Francisco Peninsula, and Dog Boarding in Calaveras County, California.
Putting the plea out again… 🙏
We have dogs at 3 locations and ideally they need to be walked daily.
We need more walkers..
You may have no idea just how important it is to them until you show up and see the excitement through their whole body.
Please come walk some dogs, we will all be eternally grateful! 🐾 👣
It's the inside of a USDA approved puppy mill. This is one of the "nicer" places. Most of these cages have 2 dogs in each, but some have only 1 dog. The red box holds the food and there is an automatic watering system and the dogs drink from a tube. The floor is plastic coated wire and the waste falls through it. As with all puppy mills, the dogs get no love and no medical care. They suffer until they are about 5 or 6 years old, when they are used up, and then most of the dogs are killed - unless they are lucky enough to be rescued. If someone buys a puppy from a pet store, THIS is what they are supporting. This is a fact.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Cats
You might be wondering if your favorite feline friends are at risk of contracting High Path Avian Influenza often referred to as HPAI or High Path AI. We are aware of several cases of domestic cats contracting the disease, but it might not be in the ways you might think.
Most commonly, cats are exposed to the virus through raw diets made up of poultry such as duck, turkeys, or chickens that were either contaminated with the virus, sick, or carriers of the virus. Other reports have been from consuming unpasteurized raw milk on affected dairy farms.
So how can we keep our feline friends safe?
If you, or any family members, come into contact with chickens, visit a farm, or the county fairs and walk-through barns, we recommend that you thoroughly clean and disinfect your shoes and any clothing items you were wearing, as well as wash hands thoroughly before greeting your cats when you get home. Cats may rub their faces on your shoes or pant legs, which could have virus particles or f***l material with parasite eggs. It is best to just clean possibly contaminated shoes or clothing prior to bringing them inside the home.
Keep cats indoors. While it might be fun to let your cats hunt outside, ensuring they are not in contact with migratory fowl that might carry the virus from one area to another can be a good idea. Both the USDA and the Department of Agriculture tracks HPAI on farms, but sometimes, the migratory birds can carry it from place to place. Remove any bird feeders around your home and empty out any bird baths to prevent cats from drinking contaminated water.
Do NOT feed any of your pets a raw diet or unpasteurized milk products. While the new year often brings with it a desire for what we might think is a healthier diet for our pets, raw meat can carry many pathogens, not just HPAI, some of which are zoonotic and can cause diarrhea in humans too! So, best to stick with high quality cat foods that we recommend. Please feel free to reach out if you need recommendations; we would love to help you navigate the pet food aisle!
