Report from Cannock chase weather
I started to talk about the potential of a storm during Sunday several days ago. Now its been named Isha.
Sunday 20th.
It looks like very high winds reaching Gale force gusts highly possible Storm force gusts later during Sunday around the area of Cannock Chase.
This is what I see at the time of writing this at 9pm on Friday 19th. Timings could change a little but this is what I see winds speeds reaching around our area at the moment.
00:01 Wind speed gusts 24mph Force 4 moderate breeze. Showers.
06:00. Wind speed gusts 24mph. Force 4 moderate breeze.
12:00 Wind speed 34 mph gusts, Force, 7 near gale.
15:00 Wind speed 40 mph gusts, force 8 Gale force
18:00 Wind speed 50-60 mph gusts, force 9-10 Strong Gale to Storm Force. Heavy frequent showers.
21:00 Wind speed 50-60mph gusts, force 9-10 Strong Gale to Storm force. Heavy frequent showers.
Monday 21st.
00:00 Wind speed 50-60 mph Gusts, force 9-10 Strong gale to Storm force.
03:00 Wind speed 32-28mph gusts Force 7 Near gale.
06:00 Wind speed 32-38 mph gusts Force 7 Near gale.
09:00 Wind speed 32-38 mph gusts Force 7 Near gale.
So at the moment Sunday afternoon through the evening and into the early hours of Monday it looks like we will experience some damaging gusts of wind. These wind speeds can and will cause some damage to some peoples properties up rooting some trees. Flying objects are very dangerous to persons outside and live stock. If you have doubts in your mind please take action by removing anything that could be lifted by these winds. Its to late and dangerous to do so when we have storm force winds.
I will update again tomorrow, I hope there may be some good news but I think the best we can hope for is Gale force gusts of wind not Storm force.
