“Pssst….The Sit & Stay Cafe is proud to announce we will be reopening this Saturday Morning, January 22nd with a mostly new staff.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during our closure and team restructuring. We are excited about the new faces you will see at the cafe and look forward to introducing the team to you.

As with all new employees a certain amount of experience in the field is required, we ask for your tolerance and consideration while our new crew learns the ins and outs of the cafe.

The Sit & Stay eagerly welcomes you back and we look forward to a great 18th year of serving the Point Isabel community.

Dear Point Isabel Customers,

Please bear with us this holiday season as we navigate a café staffing shortage requiring us to close the Sit & Stay café for a few weeks. We look forward to reopening soon with a new team, manager, and revamped menu mid-January. All good things must come to an end. Today we are sad to say farewell to . Jay started at Mudpuppy’s in 2005 at the ripe old age of 19. The permanent concession building was finishing up construction and Mudpuppy’s was staffing up. For years, Jay did triple duty working at the Dog Wash and Café in addition to being our “go to” handy man. It was at the dog wash Jay developed his love for photography and we’ve loved his work from the start. Thank you Jay and Cheers to you and Fahm on your next big adventure.

This past year has been challenging for all of us. As we close in on the end of 2020 and look toward the future, all of us at Mudpuppy’s like you are continuing to adapt to a new world that looks much different than we ever imagined.

But despite its twists and turns, we believe this year has given us a gift: a new appreciation for what is truly important in life. At Mudpuppy’s, this has only deepened our sense of purpose.

Dogs and People will always be at the heart of what we do. Our commitment to keep your pup clean, healthy, happy and smelling great is our most important job and it informs everything we do.

Mudpuppy’s greatest asset is our amazing staff and customers. Their health and safety always come first.
Out of an abundance of caution, The Sit & Stay Café will be closed for the next week.
We’ve had a staff member test positive for COVID and we are requiring all staff get tested and stay home until it is safe for them to return to work.
For the last 16 years, The Sit & Stay has served the Point Isabel community proudly. We are grateful for your support.

Other times, we can patrol and enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of the parks, while making sure our visitors and the lands are safe.
