Welcome to Mountain Home Doodles, we are located in Cashmere, WA serving all of the United States and Canada. They are a part of our families!!

Welcome to Mountain Home Doodles, we are newly located in Plains, MT, but still travel back and forth between Plains and our home in Cashmere, WA and have dogs in guardian homes in Lewiston, ID so are well traveled in all three states. My name is Tori and I fell in love with doodles several years ago when I adopted my first doodle, Tika. She is everything a doodle should be and quickly became my h

eart dog. The idea for Mountain Home Doodles was born out of my love for Tika and the desire to breed dogs like her for other families to be able to share in the same amazing companionship, silly antics and have such a dedicated best friend. Now joined by my husband Brent, he and I take breeding these dogs very seriously and no part of this endeavor is taken lightly. We put a great deal of effort into finding the right dogs to add to our program, taking into consideration pedigrees, temperament, body structure and health testing. Our focus is on producing top quality breeding stock, service dogs, therapy dogs and amazing companions. Here at Mountain Home Doodles, our dogs live in our home with us, or in one of our amazing forever guardian families, they are never kenneled. Puppies are raised right in the middle of our home, or in the home of our amazing trainer, so that they are used to the life and sounds of an active household when they go to live with their new families. A proud member of the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association (WALA), it is our goal to provide the most loving environment possible for our puppies and your new companion.

Louise and Buddy’s littles are 6 weeks old and they are over the top cute!!

They are absolutely an adorable litter of pups. They are outgoing, playful, people focused little bundles of snuggely happiness!

They keep us laughing as their personalities are really starting to shine… never a dull moment here in our home!

Is the mini–Australian Labradoodle athletic? Can they play fetch, go boating, paddle boarding, hiking, walking, jogging, camping, jump into the car by themselves...etc., etc. We get asked this A LOT....and....

The answer to ALL of the above is YES!!

Do NOT let the size of these pups deceive you! They are the perfect size to curl up beside you on the couch and snuggle and binge movies and also the perfect size to do all of the above!

They are also excellent for families who want to do agility work (they are FAST) or scent work (they have a great nose on them)...the possibilities are endless.

They are really the very best of everything, the perfect size (in our opinion)!

We want to thank you all for the love and prayers for little Dally...he is doing great right now!

After a couple of vet visits, with no real answers...being told that his condition is neurological, that he was having seizures, that he is too young to do testing on, etc. (we love our vets, it's not an easy job...but still very frustrating) we think we have an answer!

I have to give HUGE props to my daughter right now!! Cass and family were struggling with the flu so Brent and I brought Lou's litter to our house to help lessen the load in their house...Cass essentially said, "you can take them, but not Dally...he needs to stay with me". We listened and are glad that we did!
She kept notes about what was happening, detailed descriptions of the episodes he was having etc. She was able to send that information to me, along with a video and it clicked a lightbulb in my head....I'd heard of this exact same thing before...so on the hunt we went for more information....and here is what we now believe.

We believe that Little Dally has a condition called megaesophagus.

There is something going on with his esophagus, so the food is not going into his stomach properly when he eats. This causes him to regurgitate, and food goes into his nose and hurts him, so he shakes his head really hard trying to clear it all out. This initially was looking to us (and to our vets) like seizures. It's not...thank God.
We have found a very workable solution for now, until he is a bit older and we can have some tests done and see what we can do for him. (This often presents when pups are being weaned from mama's, which is exactly when it started for Dally)

He has to eat sitting upright and say upright for about 30 minutes after eating!! Yep, that has eliminated all of his episodes!

Cass has a front puppy pack she wears that keeps him upright for feeding and for the 30 minutes afterwards...then he is down in his play area acting like a normal, happy puppy. He is being bottle fed right now, along with spoonsful of canned puppy food, so he doesn't aspirate, about every 3 hours, 24/7. Cass is slowly increasing time between meals, but he is quick to tell her when he is hungry.

There are a few options for his future, from full recovery to having to be fed his whole life in a "bailey chair" made for dogs with this condition. We will address these options as he gets a bit older.

We are so thankful for the prayers...we are so thankful that Dally is doing so well and I'm so darned thankful and proud of my daughter for insisting that she was going to figure this out when we weren't getting answers elsewhere.

There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes with breeding dogs...you can always expect transparency from us! You can always expect that we will do EVERYTHING in our power to make sure that every puppy that we help bring into this world is living its very best life!!

Continued prayers for little Dally as we continue to learn more and find ways to help him live his best life!

These adorable little nuggets of Louise's are AMAZING!

How are they already 5 weeks old?

They love spending the days outside with us, they have a nice little play area where they can do all of the fun puppy things they like to do :) Building strong muscles and getting that thing called coordination figured out :)

They are no longer eating mush, they graduated to big puppy food now! They sleep all night in their "apartment" (which is really the room next to our kitchen lol) and use their potty area reliably at night...they are just a really great litter of puppies!!

We do have a couple of spots available on this litter and I will tell you, the families that fill these spots are going to be very lucky and very happy!

I’ll never forget the way they look at us, the littles who arrive at puppy pick up day with their parents, their faces lit up as they ask “Is he really mine?!”
The joy we get at helping kids find their new best friends, someone to keep monsters under the bed away, someone to play the ultimate game of frisbee in the backyard, someone to play tea party with, and to inconspicuously pick up Lima beans conveniently “dropped” on the floor during dinner, is why we breed Australian Labradoodles!!
