Here’s a little merriment for your Monday. We should all be so happy with a little scrap of fluff.
We guarantee there are outdoor kittens near you who need your help.
Adopt. Volunteer. Donate. Speak up.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
It’s kitten season and grimy/sick/hungry cuties are popping up all over. If they survive, they’ll be making more kittens later this year! Don’t just walk on by. Adopt. Volunteer. Donate. Speak up. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Today’s happy holiday story is about Lazarus, a longtime feral with infected bite wounds, dental problems, and ingrown claws. (See the comments for a “before” pic.) The poor boy climbed to the 4th floor and was crying at apartment doors. Our volunteer called for help and Laurel Cats, Inc. didn’t hesitate. After lots of expensive vet care and TLC, Lazarus is healthy and happy and loving indoor life. Lucky Lazarus.
Poor Snowflake, a 20-yr old calico whose owner died, was living alone and so sad. Every few days someone would drop by to feed her, but her owner’s family couldn’t keep her. We were asked to help find a new home for her and we’re delighted to report a Christmas miracle!
A loving rescuer with a penchant for seniors has taken Snowflake in and we couldn’t be more delighted. Happy holidays from Snowflake!
It’s Giving Tuesday and the kittens are hungry! (Always! 🤣) With your support we can do more. Donate through Meta or at our website (URL in comments). Thank you!!
We hope you find everything you’re looking for, especially if what you’re looking for are KITTENS! Come see them at our adoption event tomorrow at Calverton Petsmart.

Can you believe kitten season still isn’t over!? We have several adoptables listed on our website and we need fosters too!
Good morning! Who needs help relaxing on this hump day? (Volume up!)
Who can resist a lap cat who enjoys bellyrubs? We have two! Spock (a gorgeous black polydactyl) and his brother McCoy (brown and golden tabby) are affectionate purr machines and expert biscuit-makers in need of a forever home. Please spread the word.
Have you had enough cat time today? Elora and her siblings are ready to give you your Recommended Daily Allowance of feline affection. (See comments for our website, where our adoptables are listed.)
Small but mighty!
Our thanks to Laurel Cats, Inc. and Puddy Cats Rescue Inc. for saving this sweet boy Sir Oxon, who’s living his best life in foster care. Rescue is tough, but this makes it all worth it!
Nom nom nom…
How many people does it take to rescue an orphaned 4-week-old kitten? For this one, it’s 8 and counting, including private citizens and veterinary staff and rescue volunteers from three different animal welfare organizations. Thanks Laurel Cats, Inc. and Puddy Cats Rescue Inc.!
It’s kitten season and the problem is astronomical. Many PG County groups are working together to make a difference. If you’re not already helping, the kittens need you! Adopt, Volunteer, Donate, Speak Up.
P.S. Always look for mom and save her too!
Thanks to our #PGSPCA foster families!

One-eyed Jax and her sister TaterTot are a ton of fun! Help us find them a home! Please share, and check out their profile on our website.
We have an update on sweet Josey! She’s back in foster care and is feeling somewhat better after transfusion. She still has some healing to do, but listen to that purr!
