Back at Waitara Pony Club this week making a few improvements to the course. It's a better day for ramming posts than it is for digging holes! One of my better ideas, to modify a post rammer to go on my truck.

About to head back home after a 4 week stretch in Perth. Spent the last 10 days at Oakford Equestrian Centre building 40! new jumps for their practice ground. Huge thanks to Mike and Bec for their generous hospitality.

Wairarapa-based cross-country course designer Chris Lever has made a name for himself with his bespoke hand-crafted jumps, and he’s in demand both here in New Zealand and across the ditch, recently attaining FEI 3* course designer status.

Well that's Kihikihi Horse Trial cross country all packed up for another year. I might of mentioned, my favorite event of the year. I feel both lucky and honored to be designing here. John Nicholson created something special, and behind the scenes he and Karen still put in hours to help make this such a great event. I can't thank them enough for how much they help and support me.
Id also like to thank Louise for her help setting up and Mark McCauley (aka the hole digger). I wouldn't of been ready on time with out either of you.
I'd also like to thank the two shadows from the Naki. As well as listening to me rabbit on about all things crosscountry, Nic did a very professional job of the photos on the CrossCountry App and Julia helped out with last minute jobs and kept me entertained on crosscountry day.
But mostly thanks to all the riders for making it such a successful event. Great to see so many happy faces coming through the finish flags!

I'm looking for help at Kihikihi in the weeks leading up to the event on the 1st and 2nd of April.
A can do attitude and a willingness to learn is more important than experience. However practical skills would be an advantage.
