Bandana Dogs by Nuclear Janet Handmade bandanas slide over your dog's collar. Nuclear Medicine Technology has been my passion for many years in the clinical and college setting.
(15)

A change in life circumstances has allowed me to renew some of my former passions and interests including crafting. It all began because I wanted bandanas for my small, medium and large dogs but could not find them in stores. Only Moly could wear the "people" variety; Nuca was just too small and Gamma is just too low to ground. Also, the knots frequently came undone and were uncomfortable. I start

ed to work on prototypes which evolved into the over-the-collar design seen here. Now all three dogs match and I love it! If you have one or more dogs, check out my bandanas at local craft shows or message me if you would like me to send one in the mail. I also accept custom orders and am willing to search the fabric stores for patterns you may want.

THIS is the most current masking recommendations by the CDC. Please make sure when you are looking up information that you are using the most current available!

CDC on Homemade Cloth Face Coverings
CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other
social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and
pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of
the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from
transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household
items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an
additional, voluntary public health measure.
Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age
2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or
otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance.
The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95
respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for
healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by
current CDC guidance.

I have been making face masks since Sunday and have just about run out of 1/4” elastic. Yes I know the arguments about fabric masks but how could they not help? Even Governor DeWine’s wife said today they can be worn over regulation masks to help them last longer. These are free to healthcare workers or immune compromised persons. Message me. Working on getting more elastic.

Here we are at the makeshift ironing station. Sewing is safer than puzzling and more rewarding. My elbows are sore from leaning on the puzzle trying to reach the top. Didn’t know why they hurt till I looked in the mirror 🤪

Any Bandana Dogs friends have a need? I have lots of fabric and elastic on hand and would make for hospital workers. Lots of fabric variety from my many bandana designs. It is cotton fabric with flannel lining. Private message if interested.
