It's time I announce my departure in the rattery world. I told myself I'd stop a few months ago. Then held on because it's hard letting go of something you've built for years. Even though in my heart, breeding no longer delighted me like it used to. Personal events caused me to make a rapid decision and tomorrow most of my ratties will be on their way to Texas with a new upstarting breeder.

I've had some great years and some really sh*tty years. I think I've impacted the rattery world and I'm happy to have left my footprints and for anyone new, or struggling, or wanting that little advice: Don't let the haters stop you. Do YOU and don't change what you do for anyone. If you want to do it a certain way- Do it. As long as your rats are happy and healthy, you're not doing it wrong!

Lastly, I'm not leaving with tears. I am so happy I'm starting a new hobby and having been able to do this so successfully, I hope for mutual success in my new endeavors!

I get messages ALL the time about "I've heard you had ringworm.". Or "So and so says not to adopt from you." And EVERYTIME I have to set the record straight and EVERY SINGLE TIME it's 2 ratteries that talk about me.

Scrat Pack Rattery and Mystic Tail Rattery.

It's honestly sad these local ratteries have nothing better to do but talk about my PAST issues.

Here's the truth:

YES, I've had ringworm. I've had SDAV. I've had UTI outbreak.
And let me tell you any Rattery claiming they never had a single illness are either liars, don't breed as much, or has not been a rattery for a very long time.
When you offer a refund, an apology, and request the return of the rat with issues and are met with No. Then clearly they are not wanting a professional resolution but to continue drama.

I will never claim that I wasnt in the wrong, I was. But don't come at me when I offered resolution and was told no and flipped off.

Rats are not robots. They are animals that can get sick, can get virus and can die. I will always try my best to fix the situation for ratteries and pet owners!

Scrat Pack Rattery and Mystic Tail Rattery can continue their belittling of a local rattery due to jealousy or whatever their reason. OR I am publicly stating I am willing to settle whatever their issues with me is. I'd love to be able to be friends with local ratteries verses this drama.

Hi Friends,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful new Spring.

I wanted to let everyone know I'm extending my hold on reserving any of my ratties for about a month. In the meantime, I am still able to offer ratties on first come basis.

We are having a lot of events. From spring cleaning, to training our new puppy for sportsmanship, to making some changes in our rattery. Good changes! We want to provide healthy, happy rats to our local community and that sometimes means taking a step back to look at our production and decide which way we're heading.

I promise to be back soon with wonderful updates and allowing reservations.

Jett, is my Crash Landing. I've only had a handful of rats like him. Whiskey, Rio, Eazy... Jett is my heart rat and has given me more then I could ever give him. He will stay with me even after his passing. His line will continue to thrive and build my rattery and if I ever get another rat like him, I will count my blessings.

What an experience to have such an amazing male in my rattery.

This boy will be given to a taxidermy for me and ill have to share when he is back in my care.
