Any sound resembling thunder or gunshots would cause Beau to tremble and his teeth to chatter—even the sound of trash carts rolling. He’d find a safe spot, which often turned out to be under the desk! (April 2019)

Our good friend Jon provided some advice from Beau on living well.

We had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to Beau yesterday, but based on his circumstances (after evaluation by trusted veterinarians) it was clearly the most humane option. Thankfully he perked up on the last afternoon and was able to take a short walk, play a bit in the garden, and gave us a lot of tail wags and affection. What a great pal and brave soul.
