The first of the young fillies we bought ran her second bumper race at Doncaster on Wednesday and this time decided to behave herself , she is a big baby ran well till half way up the straight to finish fourth without being knocked about. She may have another bumper then she will be given time to strengthen ,she will be a cracking staying hurdler. Our other 3 year old Milan filly is a sharper type will run later in the spring. I was having a reflective moment last night listening to some fantastic Irish music Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly and Christie Moore. they took me back to a time around Christmas the great invited me to a stable to look at a filly/mare she was tucked in the corner very lean, very cheap, Sweet Migonette she went on to win Flat and hurdles including The top novice hurdle Aintree Racecourse .I had the same feelings as that night when the equally great Richard Fahey Racing showed me the Gutaifan yearling I have been posting can not understand why all the shares have been snapped up by shrewd Christmas shoppers

The ups and downs of racing I had a smashing journey up to Ayr Racecourse yesterday hoping to see a follow up win for the trained Sweet Vinetta but she hated the dead ground , hated being at the front and decided with the pilots help to view other horses bottoms when they decided to go quicker than her. Draw a line through that one and win in time for Christmas

I have recently received a number of requests for organised racedays at York Races in particular Ebor Saturday. Other York Races dates will be available but I will initially do a costing on a VIP package inc of VIP Badges, private box ,Lunch and afternoon tea plus full race day drinks package to include champagne, prosseco spirits fine wines and beers. The fine weather on Stockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom did not continue Hexham Races as the going is totally unsuitable for Sweet Vinetta on Wednesday . She will probably go to Catterick Racecourseon the 18th or back Hexham Racecourse on the 20th December if the going is ok.
