What a cool duo, looking all pretty in pink! 💖

Barney has never been the most confident over fences, and with winter giving him the zoomies 🐎 Faye has had a bit of a knock too. Naturally, after learning that we can sometimes let Barney have a little whoosh 💨 to celebrate jumping over a little cross bar we get braver… and look at what we achieved today! 🤩
As I say to all of my clients it’s so important to listen to your horse when they’re trying to tell you something, and only once you can understand what they’re saying can you achieve your goals 🙌🏻

I’m all for celebrating little wins, but it’s so lovely to see a pair reach a huge milestone like this ❤️

What cool little youngsters! Bruno had his first ever trots under saddle yesterday and wasn’t he keen to strut his stuff! Elvis hasn’t got the most confidence with his jumping (even though he absolutely loves it!) but we’re getting there with him - look at those knees! Xx

Good groundwork makes all the difference when it comes to working with youngsters… and doesn’t this just prove it! 🤩

After a lovely physio session from the amazing Woodacre Veterinary Physiotherapy we had an in depth discussion about where to go with Bruno’s work, and we agreed that he was absolutely ready to start hacking home after long reining up and down some hills to get that back end stronger 💪 For only his third time ever being sat on, and his first time walking alongside traffic with a rider on board he couldn’t be faulted 🦄 What a brave boy to take such a huge step in his education right in stride ❤️

Building confidence so that new things aren’t scary, higher fences are easy, and being clipped isn’t the end of the world 🙈 Bruno had his first walk down a quiet street with someone on board and he strutted along like he’d done it a hundred times before - not bad for his second ever experience with a jockey, even if it was for just 100m or so! Domino is 100% back in action after losing his confidence with jumping, meaning his owner Sophie can go back to her big plans for next summer with him ❤️ Hansel has seen me working with his ‘brother’, Elvis and wanted in on the action… though, with him being wary of new people working with him, we had to make sure there were plenty of treats first 🍬 And lastly, clipping my own horse’s legs has always been quite the challenge so I’ve decided to try desensitising him again… wish me luck 🫣😆

This is what it’s all about - Baby Bruno having his fist proper sit on and tiny walk around went so well that Debbie felt super confident jumping on for a quick go! Since owning him from 6 months old Debbie has been itching to sit on her pony, but understanding he’s still fairly young we have a plan to take baby steps before fully riding away - just a sit on every now and again in between his long reining so it’s not too scary when we start riding away properly next year!

Confidence is key when it comes to horses - the more confident you are, the more confident they feel! Domino hasn’t been feeling very keen while jumping lately, so we’ve been working on rebuilding his confidence over fences and look at him go! Much happier! 🦄 Debbie hasn’t had the best luck as of late and Bruno knows it - so now that things are back on track it’s the perfect chance to rebuild that trust and get Debbie back on the same page with him using some long reining in the arena 🙌🏻 of course, also keeping his mind busy with me behind the long lines in some new places he hasn’t seen much of before 🙈 Dexter pony may only be small… but by god is he mighty! Uses to getting his own way and running of in any direction when being lunges, I’ve been tasked with building his confidence in the person stood on the other end of the lunge line and trusting that we are trying to help him (by shifting some of that weight and getting him ready to start back under saddle for his little jockey 🤭). He’s doing so well already, and has even discovered a love of poles!

Super proud of Elaine and her pony today! We love seeing people and ponies dipping toes into new disciplines (and helping them along the way of course!) ❤️ From Polo pony to Dressage diva… not an easy transition but one we will keep chipping away at in a language Bish understands until we have a mare who understands that she doesn’t *always* need to go so fast! 🐎💨

A lovely day today with lots of variation!

Teaching Lynn to encourage Rossi to move more forward and over his back instead of falling behind the leg and below the vertical… look at how lovely he was moving today! 🦄

A pamper day for Elvis (who is very particular about his dreadlocks!) including taming that mane in plaits to keep him cooler, as well as getting that tail and those feathers looking beautifully puffy and soft ❤️ Maybe one day he’ll stand at the hose long enough for a full bath… watch this space 👀😂

And though we didn’t get any videos, we finally got Barney the OTTB to understand that you can extend and collect the pace without changing gear - those flying changes are on the horizon! 🎉

📈 As many of you know, the cost of living has been on the rise. I've held off adjusting my prices for as long as possible, but to continue providing the best service and cover increasing costs, a change is now necessary 📈

✨ On a positive note, this adjustment also reflects my ongoing commitment to bringing you the very best. As some of you already know, I recently achieved my Complete BHS Stage 2 as I strive to bring more expertise and value in our sessions! ✨

Here’s how the price changes will work:

🎊 For new clients: The updated prices will apply to all new bookings effective immediately 🎊

🐴 For my existing clients (those who've had lessons or services in the last 6 weeks): You'll have a grace period, with the new prices taking effect from July 1st, 2025. I appreciate our partnership and I'm excited to continue working with you and your horses! 🐴
