Caloglossa beccarii is a red alga of striking appearance. It is reddish to dark purple with leafy fronds. Does well in low light. Very fast growing almost doubling in volume in 30 days. Can be used as a cool red foreground too. Do not dose glutaraldehyde for this. Check out few scapes using this exotic plant in the comments section.

Bucephalandra are endemic plants found in Borneo. They are similar to Anubias in requirements. They are very hardy and tied to wood or stone. Branded substrate and CO2 are not essential. Thrive in low to medium light. However good light and fertilisation produces intense colors. They can flower underwater easily. Produce lots of baby rhizomes when shifted to a new environment. Usual growth rate is 1-2 new leaves per week. Good for low maintenence nano shrimp tanks.
