Florida Yorkie Rescue FYR a designated 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization. We are not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers who work with rescued dogs in our own homes.

The mission of Florida Yorkie Rescue is to rescue Yorkies, Yorkie mixes and Malteses regardless of age or additional handicaps that may be associated with aging or birth defects. We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. We pledge to promote responsible pet ownership through humane education and to provide shelter and care to our foster dogs until a loving, responsible home can be found

. To evaluate each dog and potential home with the goal of matching our dogs to the best possible home. We also provide life-long, quality sanctuary for yorkies that may be too old or ill for adoption. This organization is made up entirely of people who volunteer their time and money to foster and place these little dogs in caring, loving homes. Almost all the dogs that come into Florida Yorkie Rescue need rehabilitation and training and we seek out medical care or alternative methods if traditional treatments do not work. All dogs that come into Florida Yorkie Rescue will be neutered or spayed and vaccinated.

This is not yorkie related but here is the short video I did of my parents when they were cutting their wedding cake over 75 years ago. Just added a still photo and they created a video from it. I have only started looking at these types of software programs and this is the first one I tried but there might be better ones out there. It was pretty easy. DeeVidAI

Florida Yorkie Rescue currently does not have any dogs available for adoption at this time. The dogs we currently posted on our page below are with other Rescues. You can reach out to them after reading each profile individually. We do not have any additional information on any of those dogs. Please do not contact us about these dogs. Things are extremely hectic here and I will not have time to respond to each of your direct messages. Sorry.

Note: pls review the prerequisite before you start the application process. *We only adopt within our tri counties South to Boca Raton North to Port St Lucie.
*Must have 3 yrs of verifiable vet references. Not older than 3 yrs
*mandatory home visit is required and it will not be waived. *Another sibling required 15 lbs or smaller.

Female Full breed Pomeranian tan and white. Dob 1-12-25and weighs 6.7 lbs. Super smart already house trained and leash trained. Social and extremely loving. Never lost a child but I have had some profound human losses in recent years. And yes those losses were devastating. But I have also lost dogs I had considered my “heart dogs” and those losses brought me to my knees in a way I never thought possible. Interesting scientific study. I wonder if it’s accurate.
