Florida Yorkie Rescue FYR a designated 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization. We are not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers who work with rescued dogs in our own homes.

The mission of Florida Yorkie Rescue is to rescue Yorkies, Yorkie mixes and Malteses regardless of age or additional handicaps that may be associated with aging or birth defects. We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. We pledge to promote responsible pet ownership through humane education and to provide shelter and care to our foster dogs until a loving, responsible home can be found

. To evaluate each dog and potential home with the goal of matching our dogs to the best possible home. We also provide life-long, quality sanctuary for yorkies that may be too old or ill for adoption. This organization is made up entirely of people who volunteer their time and money to foster and place these little dogs in caring, loving homes. Almost all the dogs that come into Florida Yorkie Rescue need rehabilitation and training and we seek out medical care or alternative methods if traditional treatments do not work. All dogs that come into Florida Yorkie Rescue will be neutered or spayed and vaccinated.

Bleu is doing well. He was a bit fussy last night. He ate well this morning and found a bed he especially loved so he’s been hunkered down in there for most of the day. He heard my husband voice this morning in the kitchen and it was like her recognized the voice and was going crazy to get into the kitchen which was gated off. Not sure if my husbands voice sounded like one of the owners but my husband carried him around for a while and Bleu seemed most content.

It's never easy to lose a furbaby. But this little boy named Toby stole my heart the day I took him into our Rescue as a tiny & fragile deformed and special needs boy at the age of 6 weeks old. Although he lived for only two years, he enjoyed worldwide attention; a spot in PEOPLE magazine as well as many other publications. There isn't a day that I do not think about him. The holidays can be very difficult for those of us who have lost loved ones; my Father, my Mother, My precious Lily Bud, my irreplaceable Toby and all the many other furbabies we have taken in over the past 20 years, cared for and lost. So for all of you who are taking each day as it comes, missing the ones you have loved and lost, I send my heartfelt condolences. I understand what you are going through. The holidays are not for everyone. Some of us just get through it the best way we can.

My wreaths are made with a green faux pine background on wire frame and measures about 22-23 inches in diameter. They are NOT Waterproof so they can only be placed on a covered porch where the ribbons will not be subjected to snow or rain. Best suited behind a storm door or indoors. The box they are delivered in is a good storage box as well. If the wreath has a sign, they are easily removable. PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU PAY SHIPPING.
