Special thanks to Glenn Po***ck of Asgard Rottweilers for trusting us to transport her dog Ci. Ci was a very well mannered house guest and traveller. Our thoughts are with Mr. Chaney, Ci’s co-owner, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Glenn, thank you for the kind post supporting Blue Line Pet Taxi! (See below)
(From Glenn) Posted this on my FB page and emailed to my 'Puppy owners' list this morning: God BLESS Mary & Ivan Statzer who HELPED me to retrieve Ci from Indianapolis since her ‘dad’, Chip Chaney had to be hospitalized on Saturday., 6/29/24. I was desperate, after learning of Chip’s hospitalization and Ci’s situation (no one to remain w/her in her home) to rescue Ci from her situation. This is a perfect example of why my name is kept as an “owner” to protect any of my pups from Rescue and/or the local shelters…not that Ci’s situation would have ended in that way. The daughters did contact me and they did try to find Ci a placement, and the only obstacle was my distance from Ci’s home, in IN…but THANKS to all the ARC and Hoosier Rottweiler Club and to Cory, Chip is assured that Ci will continue to be in her loved w/in her ‘family’.
Many THANKS to Mary, and absolute Angel, for arranging with Chip’s daughter, Kari, to pick up Ci and then drive more than 4 ½ hours (one way) to deliver Ci to the Blue Line Pet Taxi (Cory) in upper Ohio.
Ci’s vet hospital has already sent along all of Ci’s vet records to my local veterinarian, and Cory and his wife gave Ci a bath and Cory told me that Ci had eaten and was playing with a ball after she arrived at their home yesterday afternoon. I can not PRAISE Cory’s transport services enough, and this is the second time that Cory (Blue Line Pet Taxi) has stepped in and gone above and beyond to help one of my puppies. Mary was very impressed with Cory and how well Ci was with him. She told me that she will definitely recommend Cory’s services if anyone is ever in need of a dog being transported. FYI, Cory and his wife breed and show Border Terriers, and apparently his wife is a professional groomer, and Ci could not be in kinder, better ‘hands’. I truly APPRECIATE that Cory is going above and beyond to make this short notice (called him Friday evening), long trip from OH to my home in VA….8-9 hours one way, for Ci’s benefit.
Cory texted me two photos of him, yesterday afternoon, with Ci, and he told me that he intends to leave Avon, OH around 7am, and that I should expect Ci to be here around 3ish pm. Both Mary and Cory have told me how sweet Ci is, and we all know that she will need to have a period of adjustment and that she will certainly miss her “dad’ (Chip) since she has been with him for five years. But, Chip realized that Ci needs a home, since he is unable to care for her now, due to his personal health issues.
I am certainly praying that Chip will soon recover his health and that I will be able to speak with him, again, personally, to reassure him about Ci. Chip and his late wife, Gwen, have been ACTIVE involved in the Rottweiler breed, and Rottweiler Rescue for as long as I can remember…over 30 years. Chip and Gwen have contributed so very much to the Am Rottweiler Club and their local kennel and breed clubs.
Again, I am thankful that my name is listed as an “owner” for Ci. My proof of ownership certainty made this so much easier, and Chip sighed a form that allowed Mary and Cory to deliver/ transport Ci to me.
